101 If one (Seller A) sells apples at 1$ a pound on a corner. If on the opposite corner another guy (Seller B) sells apples for 1$ a pound. Suddenly B has an added cost of 10%. Eventually seller B would need to raise the price to 1.10$ for his apples to keep profit margin stable.. Since the source of apples is limited. Seller A would also raise prices closer to 1.10$ because his commodity demand allows it. That's the way markets work. The consumer pays 1.10 for apples. The added cost may stifle demand some eventually. Just an simplified example....
