Wow 1000 points drop during Asian and Europe sessions! More than a weekly move!
As other folks said, this is related to Deep Seek news and its impact on all AI, in particular Open AI.

NY might continue down to buy the dip later as we've a major earnings week.

The day was led by the Deep Seek news that made this huge sell off.
The day closed bearish with a large wick.
From TA perspective and forgot about the news, what do we have?
Price was unable to close above 21867; hence sellers jumped in to grab liquidity from the previous/lower swing of 21867. Price reached that swing and it was rejected (large wick).
Tomorrow, there is no major data.
What we should expect?
I think buying the dip is underway; we might see a test of the Year close 21027, then a move up.

NQ is behaving as expected: down towards 21027 (Year close); then up. But pay attention to Consumer Confidence data.
Good data, NQ is going up and vice-versa.
The opening range is bearish.

1- We got a green, but irrelevant day close candle. It's inside the previous red candle.
2- Price has retraced 61.8 fib.
3- Tomorrow, we have the BOC and FED meetings. In my view, they're irrelevant; they will confirm that Inflation is under control; economy is strong and particularly they're independent bodies! Trump cannot impose the reduction of interest.
4- Big day tomorrow after NY session with Microsoft, Tesla and Meta earnings. This news will move the market.

Until then, price will consolidate inside the red candle.

As expected, an uneventful FED and price was consolidating the whole day. The only thing to retain from the FED is about inflation and the FED will continue to be data related.
So, earnings will be on the driver seat:
Good/inline earnings, it will be very good for Stocks, Equities/NQ and a new ATH will be the target and vice-versa.

Earnings were below expectations in particular for Tesla!
NQ should go down, in my view; but market might decide to wait until tomorrow with Apple data.

Good day!
Based on yesterday earnings results, I'm not really optimistic about Apple earnings. Hence, I think price will test the high of the daily red candle during NY session and from the earnings release data, we will see a sell-off.
