It s possible to do it with "real" degrees...

Others have done it.. with RSI (MA)- TDI , hence the same concept can be done with a dashboard for MA.

The version below checks or detects instantaneous angles (the golden colored angles - means two indicators (2 -TDI or RSI indicator with two diff. parameters) are on the same angular movement which detects price acceleration (bounce) ─ or some sort of speedometer indicator by MathTrader.
Here... the angles show negative if it skewed to the downside... and positive if skewed to the upside. In addition, there is a clock based rule converted from an angular value (between price line & signal line) that satisfies the indicator rule of down & up directional bias. The first two lines of arrows are for the primary indicator. And the last two lines of arrows are from the second indicator for confluence in terms of angles.. and among other things like - to see if there is some type of divergence between the two indicators that may show up on price chart once you switch back & forth between two. Here, sensitivity is the key without sacrificing noise handling.

h... I get exactly what you are saying by visualize the angles and agree completely with what you have been saying (I'm just not good with the math). In my mind it is very clear. Unfortuantely there doesn't seem to be anyone else out there that does too and who can/will help. Your rooster comment:
