also candle heat map is working wierd. When I press on indicator it show it's fine. If I click anywhere on screen it diselects

I take profit usually after a good push in my direction, typically after 1 or 2 bars with a tight SL

I have fond memories of trading the TDI with Emmanuel and a few other traders during the MEME era about 2016 I think - and I just loved the TDI.

Looking at the settings on the TDI, it looks like the programmer was considering the 21 MA to be very important, much as I do.

I had time to experiment with this strategy on Friday so can I tell you what I came up with to produce a profit of about $1450.
Like Emmanuel showed last week with BB bands, I feel it should be used with a 21 MA Bollinger Band with a few changes to the TDI settings.
I used 21 second MA as the designer had used but I changed the band from 34 to also 21. My idea is this strategy works best when trades are taken on expanding bands and most of the best trades are produced when the bars move far away from the 21 MA. Setups during Squeeze's make no sense to me.

So you are aware I normally trade the other way on Squeezes when the bands are close together - this system would allow me to obtain additional setups and possibly double by daily take home pay.

The TDI is like a drug, its hard to shake off.

Always a treat to see you in the thread. Still waiting for you to make your own.

I agree, best setups take place when market is in heavy expansion. I'll consider your settings too. I think where we differ is in how we manage our risk. I take profits very quickly with tight stop losses and aggressive entries. You like to hold through more DD but take more later.

Beautiful setup on M1 BTC

Heavy expansion
Fast EMA crosses Slow EMA and bottom band on the same candle with momentum. There's good space, EMAS aren't stuck together, its a clear cross.

One thing is true..patience is a skill. I always have a trigger finger right before the candle closes but I always wait.

now i can wait for the second pullback with a better seutp and can observe and compare it to the first one like xk suggested

Crossed back and deeper. Spread a bit too high right now to scalp but fundamentals remain the same, and marke did what we expect. I expect even more of an aggressive sell-off

I saw you took the earlier trade - I took two trades at the current big move.

Lets talk about trade 2 which is the Shark Fin trade on the 5 minute chart.
I was fearful of jumping on the Shark Fin setup too early so I waited till I feel the fast MA was going to stay under the slower MA and then let it run till it crossed back over the 21 MA.
It worked perfectly but I honestly expected it would take my stop and keep moving bullish. That's what my stop was for which was only above that top wick.

As this move was on a Sunday, it almost moved without me.

That's how I would have traded that setup as well, I like to see that seperation between the emas. I typically prefer to see that separation within 1 to 2 bars after the fin, but if other confluences are there, definitely still a good trade. Keep em comin!

Another beauty this morning. Fast EMA crosed the lower band, the 50, and slow ema in one candle, all in the direction of the HTFs. The first fin pullback didn't work, and the second crossed deeper. A pattern to study for sure.

Didn't catch it in time but a beauty nonetheless

Like earlier, you could wait for the gap. The gap appears while price is still in heavy expansion

There was a nice Fin trade I missed a few hours back and I reckon it was a high probability trader winner - never mind. The reason was because it was during an expanding Bb event.

You can see I wasn’t interested in taking the next Fin trade as it occurred just after a BB squeeze. That I did take as you can see.
Taking a Fin trade after a Squeeze breakout is suicidal.

However the next Fin setup should be safer as there will be some distance from the breakout meaning liquidity will dissipate soon.

There is so many Sharks in the water, better not go for a swim.

This is more my kind of trade looking at trading back with the bigger trend, far safer. Interesting the market tried to suck some traders in and it send a false bullish candle in before taking it down another leg.

It didn’t get me.

The Long trade as you see when from the cross with the momentum histogram starting to show weakness so I entered long and got out as the fast MA started to turn back.
