Closed some shorts in very, very good profit. Buyers were preaching how we should wait for above 2800 first. When we get below 2700 I will close more shorts and then put SL to slight profit for the rest and let it run if it can. Been nice trading gold. I should stick to gold and cut down currencies.

Between yesterday and today it dropped from 2743 to 2718. That's a 25 point drop and that's 250 pips. Learn to count! I know you either didn't sell or you are still holding on to buys. If you want to troll do it smartly.

You should feel reasonably comfortable with your decisions. If it's a relief for you... fine.

I just find it amusing that you make a call that goes well with nothing previous, tap yourself on the back and announce you should stick to gold over currencies... That says a great deal about your currency trading & the type of person you are.

You are getting confused mate. I learned to trade in 2005. Did lots of demo. Then started trading properly in 2017. I have made profit of over $50k with little to nothing. I do all this while being a medical professional. Most of my analysis is just a glance at my chart and quick decisions are made. If you feel sore that you didn't sell or that you were holding on to imaginary buys, we have all been there. Take it on the chin and move on like a man or woman and don't come drooling all over the thread.

I gave a call. Put a chart showing the HS pattern. Explained that it was on the 4hr chart which is a relatively high timeframe. Put my money where my mouth was and sold and kept giving my entries. That's someone who knows what he is doing. I gave you a tip yesterday: don't trade with fear. If the logic aligns, take the trade and let time tell if you were right or not. Analysis paralysis simply shows someone who isn't confident.

Why are some of you not simple, happy people, always looking for a fault?

Thank you Isabella. Hopefully we get below 2700. I'm prepared for any scenario. Without a close above 2740 and then 2760 bulls are simply having wishful thinking.

It should pump up to 2725-28 at some point, though price seems pretty subdued but price has flattened out on the LTF...There are no promises in life, people might be sitting on buys until price gets down to 2707, as its an area where the 1 hour and 4 hour seem to overlap...

We'll see just playing with shorts 5m 20 MA in the mean time.

I'm still dubious its a long term high, I mean 2687 hit and then drifted down for a week got near the previous ATH and swing high and took off from there...I'm not saying that's what it will do, but my confidence on bigger longer shorts will be once we close 2684-87...I'd think that leg is more likely then.

You have a good point. I'll close once we get slightly below 2700 and then I'll move SL to 2730 for the remainder and let it ride. If price comes back up to take me out I'll reevaluate. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for your kind words. Honestly, I am not good at using indicators, I just use SMC, Fibo and read plain candles. I like looking at your charts because they give me some tips on which direction to go.

last time i saw Isabelle ma'am calling for a swing short setup, which per swing trading, is a good setup. With this current price action, the path of least resistance is tilted to the down (161.8% of previous swing [iv] already met and 4hr structure MSS).

The problem as you see is the fractals and fibonacci requirement for the wave is met and contradict the swing trade setup

Fundamental:
Post couple days ago
But was for bull continuation.
If correction were to start, Sellers need reason to start absorbing buyers now knowing more sellers will joining them later when news become facts (forward looking- discounting the future shite)

Bearish FA:
Both US political party seems bearish but kamala is considered more bearish than trump.
Yen carry trade. Boj on the verge to deliver another hike in the foreseeable future.
Next NFP fall below Lower range limit, trigger the fear of recession

Anyone see otherwise?

P/S: I'll only answer anything with above 4hr timeframe.
