I see the head and shoulders but with gold's current momentum, I don't think it will work. It retraced 500 pips yesterday which I think is enough for now. If it defies this shs, it wont be the first time its defying major technicals.

The truth is Gold hasn’t been trading on technicals or fundamentals lately. Which is scary in itself lol

Technicals only work if someone has room to manipulate the market and everyone lets it happen/goes along with it/doesn't have power to disrupt it. Given enough buying/selling power it becomes irrelevant, especially if it is a discount in a massive uptrend, that is enough to mess things up.
But like was said before, as it is now the risk isn't massive, or just wait for it to cross the neck for even less risk. Buying doesn't seem like a good idea, for that just wait for it to break up. This is not as complicated as it seems, it's actually a comfortable position.

Same here. I'm extremely bearish (at least in the short term) and only looking to short.
