zerohedge knows what he is talking about, institutions take heed of what he is saying. He called the move in oil and the china csi 300 before they happened and has warned that the fundamentals in stocks don't add up. nor gold but a lot of these rallies have been helped by china and russia buying gold to avoid sanctions issues. You're not discussing facts - The fact that Bolton wanted to strike Iran and they did strike Iran? Half the reason Iran has been in a tissy for the last 5 years...

So the Fed does probably set the most important guidance, but there are multiple major countries like China/India and Japan that have had policies divergent from the Fed. The Fed primary policy making decision is only really valid when they're suffering from similar issues.

That wasn't the point though, the setting of tariffs is currently the purview of congress and the executive, and the point I was making which you've tried to weasle out of dealing with, is if you Tariff everything in China, well they'll tariff everything from you, most likely evenly and the same for Europe. The US gets to set their trade policy, but they don't get to set the trade policy for the rest of the world and when clothing cost 2x as much because of tariffs on clothing out of Bangladesh and the US doesn't have those skills, raw mats or equipment...well thats a receipe for inflation without growth to offset it.

Quoting the Fed's remit doesn't help. What happens in the real world is that the FED leads and others follow. This is a well-known fact, and discussions on forex factory cannot change it. As for Ms. Harris, I hope she loses for the sanity of the world. She and her boss oversaw the big wars currently happening. She's a weak politician pandering to nonsensical ideologies.

She may lose, looks to be a 55% chance of that approximately right now, but its all within a standard polling error, so best to not lose sleep over it.

As far as the Fed - A bunch of countries had the same problem, over the same timeframe and had the same tools and

Honestly you don't know what you're talking about
Fed - Raised interest rates much faster and higher than all major currency players except NZD & GBP
CHF - Rates Peaked in August 22 at 3.5% and started cutting 6 months before the fed
EUR - Rates peaked earlier and lower
AUD - Earlier and much lower
JPY - Have only recently started raising rates
CNY - Did raise rates and is now cutting to stimulate
CAD - Lower Peak, faster cuts

I could go on and on and one, but as I said before when you've all got a similar problem, similar tools, similar remit...I'm not gonna be surprised when your response look similar. The only countries where they would be a bit more hamstrung by significant deviation with the US is going to be Mexico & Canada because they're the 2 largest trade partners.

Also as far as policies, you sure do love to avoid those inconvient realities.
