Serious problem with the strategy tester MT5

Guys, I need some help, I recently did a backtest using a relatively low lot for shares, 1 lot but the financial result was far beyond what this 1 lot could have caused
Anyone else having a similar problem?

it looks normal to me

those stocks seeems to have high volatility

I would scale the lot size using a volatility measure like ATR (the higher the voilatility, the lower the lot)

In my brokerage, 1 lot is a share with this volume, this result is completely out


Have you already updated meta trader and used strategy tester? If it's normal there then it's a problem with the broker

If I buy $100.000 worth of meta at 180.270
and sell it at 172.540 I end up with :
100000 * 172.540 / 180.270 = $95712

so it's minus $4288 (which is not the correct formula (you need to add conversions)
but it's in the right ballpark

1 lot in Meta is not 100,000, 1 lot is just the relative value of a share in my brokerage at least

But now that you said it, the bug is probably just that, the strategy tester must be interpreting the lot in the same way as it is in forex

YES on Metatrader 1 lot is *always* $100k worth of stuff, which is really easier to scale than 1 share
(I should say 100k of unit of currency)
