would you mind to share the reasons with us? From observation, I think you would long for today as I saw a elasticity on 4H, but you mainly short instead.
Do some of the reasons are that the Daily stochastic is at OB and yesterday was a bearish day and it was sort of an engulfing candle?

Good question Dreamer - I'm keen to know Ghbdr's answer too

Price is quite overextended from the 4hr tf upwards, so I understand him leaning towards shorts for short term

Yes. All the reason you say were taken into consideration plus others you can see in picture. Mid of a midQ, also price is at a weekly mid. Last week price made an effort to reach that mid Q so its probably that a new direction could come. Also we have an V shape three candle bearish pattern at D1

Did you pre load limit buys? prior to the news? on the basis that D stoch was rooted at the top and other stochs elastic against? just a wonder ?
I wont be trying it any time soon

No, I do not use limit orders, especially in such cases it is not safe in my opinion. Generally, trading during the FOMC is not safe, but here I noticed a large price reaction, at a strong level, and I decided to join. I don't recommend this.
