The 4am candle posted a new daily low. The 4:15 candle opened in our area of interest and went up to retest daily low set by 4am candle. It then went up and out of area of interest. That's where I bought.

The 4am candle you are referring to is a 15min TF candle..
The Holo method is buying the new H1 lowest open..
The 4am H1 candle open wasn't the new lowest H1 open.. so no buy
In my view you are trading something else..

Again, Plz show me we're it is stated that you should buy the retest of a H1 lowest open that was formed hours earlier ..
Maybe I overread that rule/option

The Holo template I am using clearly had the area of interest marked. It was using the 00:00 candle open as the lowest open of the day. The 04:15 M15 candle opened in the area of interest and came back up out of it. From my understanding that's a buy.

Can you to clarify your statement 'The Holo method is buying the new H1 lowest open.. The 4am H1 candle open wasn't the new lowest H1 open.. so no buy'. My understanding is that the Holo method is to buy using the lowest open of the day, period. I haven't seen anything in the rules which states you ignore the current lowest open just because it happened earlier in the day.

Happy to be corrected as I am just trying to learn.

this is not my understanding, I never saw any of the senior traders trade other than the current h1 candle trigger..
I guess we have to wait for a third person (preferably TooSlow) to confirm the right/wrong way..

Who is taking the 10 trade challenge the week of SEPTEMBER 8, 2024?

During the challenge, you are only to trade the same pair.

Beginners do not get to trade multiple pairs until they have mastered trading one single pair.

So, I feel like I'm missing something, therefore I need your help. The example from below is done on TradingView using replay

Opened DAX, it's 9AM for me (London trading session starts at 10AM my time), H1, marked highest and lowest of the day, highest/lowest H1 open

According to the rules, now I switch to M15 and wait for some magic to happen between today's high and H1 highest open OR today's low or lowest H1 open.

M15 TF, 1h passed, new low of the day, D1[0] low moved a little lower (the hollow candles are H1, the normal candles are M15)

M15, 1 more hour passed, new high of the day

M15, 3rd hour - new D1[0] low (line moved), but the very next candle (3rd from right to left) opened in the area of interest. Is this the signal candle?

If you cannot provide useful feedback for my problem, please stop replying to me. It's a waste of time for both of us.

@TooSlow is asking every week: "Who is taking the 10 trade challenge the week of ...?", I want to do that, but need feedback.
I read the HoLo pdf and other info, but I cannot use the MT template 'cause I'm on a mac and using only tradingview.
