Hi,
If you give me your Skype username I will contact you.
Assume it is not same (frenchrf) bcos I have tried to reach out to that ID on Skype.

Alternative, after a couple more posts on the forum threads your status will change from new member to member, and will be able to send/receive personal messages directly.

Luckily there is little immediate time pressure about this, due other commitments I won't start to work with any new student until the second half of September or so.

Apologize for the inconvenience caused, by me not sharing my email or Skype here openly to all, but prefer a certain degree of privacy. But once able to reach me communication will be smooth.

hello as you have to make messages to be able to DM..I ask these questions how do you go about making several entries, martinguale or average price defined in advance.....never hedging? CSM you watch it where and on which UT,? thank you in advance

Way hoping you will make some extra messages around the forum, like in trading systems....
But if here, I would appreciate if one would, secretly, contain your Skype ID...

To answer in short, getting into trades is by a defined approach, more objective than not.
CSM isn't a main thing to me. If anything I pay attention mostly to the here and now.

I am more interested in position management than trading strategies ,When I see your maximum loss it interests me greatly because it is my number 1 criterion,I think I have a lot to take with you looking forward to chatting thanks frenchtr15

September has finished.
also Q3 is over.

September added +7.92% gain, bringing the 3rd quarter to (a compounded) total of +28.21%, my best one in 2024, YTD.

drawdown remained controlled, especially in September, myfxbook is super kind to show only -1.01% max dd for the month, reality is low single digit, no complaint.
more, I was able to keep the green streak throughout the quarter, it was a very smooth ride most days.

gold and US indices remained volatile, and each month of Q3 represented about 50% or more of the trading, which is fine, I like to trade what is moving.
apart in September GBP crosses were notable contributors.
sometimes I get asked about my trading style, it is still scalping though I am not a hyper one, but the holding times are low, here is how Sept looks like with approx 5 min average holding times.

overall I feel year 2024 is firmly on track, and can only wish to keep up with the results till end of year.

AxiSelect score is at a stable 83. not bad. not good. that will make me stuck in Acceleration stage. still it is 100k funded. that is where I am. still it is some additional money, and that is welcome. my outlay to participate there is only 4k (25x multiplier at the stage), so it is moderate, and the 50% payout means 1% gain on the master acct there ( different acct to my main!) is capable to earn 500$ performance fee.
this point I cant say anymore that is work in progress, cos the past months my score didn't progress anywhere, and likely the more I continue to trade the more it will only stay the same. thus unless I push it harder there a little, the income from it will remain a side income type, not a major one. that said it can more than cover my pepsi max, and some, even in the lower stage, thus I can only recommend it everyone (who is able to join) to use it to max out their trading income by the additional leverage the funded account can offer.


Mentoring
the year is nearing to the end. after 15th October I am free to work with 1 student. the starting time must be before mid November, bcos I will stop all trading before Xmas, up until mid January!
only 1!
there wont be any other chance until March 2025! can PM me here your email or Skype if interested.

and finally:
live trading sessions will continue all the same for former students, to join message me for times of next trading session, but typically NYO as usual.

there should be one more update to make end of the year, lets see how things going!

Hi…. Hoped to see some scalping charts.. be nice to glimpse at different perspectives and styles of different traders….

Might generate traffic here. Just don’t let the naysayers bother you.. if not interested in posting…

Truth is, my scalping charts aren't really exciting to look at.
My average holding times are a couple minutes, with quite a few trades being sub 1 min.
Yet, I am not high frequency scalping, so often there is just a couple entries a day. On top, those may be across multiple instruments.

If you are interested in charts, my best suggestion would be to look at those I have posted back 2017-18 on the thread.
My trading got a little streamlined and better since, but my core approach is there, without the full set of rules I use nowadays.
I just looked some of those charts, and they are unsurprisingly similar to the charts I see when I trade in 2024.

To be honest, I don't mind the naysayers much.
Nor looking to generate traffic here. If anything, you could observe my posting frequency dropped off gradually but continuously both on my thread and the forum. Intentionally.
My plan to stop even the quarterly entries from next year.
The thread pretty much has all I wanted to tell or share, and if someone really looking for me as a mentor can find me. And if can't, "that's fine".

Thankyou for your reply.. I did peek at your charts in 2017-2018 and had wondered if your style changed over 6-7 years... It just interests me to go over a traders 'journey' from beginning to current to see how they develop in trading and the pointers they post about their psychology. I do this to 'hammer' in that it can be done with the right mindset, the right setup. . Cheers and see you on the charts... deafpostman

My trading had 2 bigger changes in the past 15 yrs.
1st in 2017, when I went full time trading, and switched from 5 min charts to focus on the 1 min timeframe.
2nd time in end of 2018, when I distilled down what I am doing into a more objective set of rules. Also incorporated a few decisions to better fit to my psychology, what I like, ie no overnight holdings, or drastically cutting down on my trading hours for a better balanced life.
Since 2019 I am trading the same way as I am trading today.
That is 5 yrs without changes. There is a degree of discretionary, but the rules to follow for "A grade setup" is rather objective.

I firmly believe that if set your mind on reasonable goals, and willing to work on it step by step, one day a time, over a period may see extraordinary results. Of course extraordinary is something everyone defines differently, in my case an example is consistency. I was curious how long I can be consistent to finish profitable trading days (I don't hold trades open overnight!).
Some results I have posted on the journal over the years; in short consistency can be improved and can keep up those green days for pretty long, if that is the goal.
The most important to set a goal, that is both somewhat challenging but somewhat achievable too.
Then approach it as a fun game, to beat.

mixed results.
dec ended up negative, turning around a OK month last minute. -5.1%. this one also ended a 23-month winning streak ( and been the 2nd loss day of 2024, too).
not the end of year I was looking for.
the same time Q4 itself was another profitable one, just over +10%.

the year 2024 total is a compounding +94.2%, so I am far from sad, would sign up anytime for a similar year.

what is ahead for 2025?
a couple things I know of,
- wont change my core strategy!!
- will look into an optimized approach for AxiSelect for a better max score and to maximize funding there
- continue with mentoring from February, 1 student a time, if there is interest

what isn't continued in 2025: regular update of this thread!
i have intentionally lowered my activity on the forum in the past years, going from frequent trading updates to monthly updates to quarterly updates....
and trading results updates will completely stop here, from next year.
the past years had posted all about results there was to post.
it showed that consistency on the longer run is possible, and I hope it motivated some readers to "seeing it believing it" that consistency doesn't have to be only a pie in the sky, but something achievable. i don't say it is easy, only that it is a worthy goal to pursue.
i trade forex since 2009, and doing full time since 2017. my real consist results only started to come from 2016, when my mindset changed from doing a hobby to looking at forex as a potential to a full time "job" for me, and started to adjust my approach to suit it.

anyways,
I feel my journal thread as it is completed.
though I wont do anymore regular updates about my trading, I will be trading.
nothing really changes.
anyone wants to reach out to me can do here, in PM, or if a former student, on Skype, as always.
