It’s not that it repaints, it recalculates to ensure smoothing. I think it still works really well with this strategy

Most strategies are based on history after the chart is restarted/recalculated (number 1 on picture), very rarely do traders make strategies based on the chart before the restart/recalculate (number 2 on picture)

especially for those who like to move Time Frame / Pair changer on the same chart

I'm not saying TMA doesn't work, I'm just showing all TMA = Repaint/Recalculate

Very clean! I’ve always been a fan of grid trading. You might want to start your own thread, but I love the confidence man. I just subscribed.

Then I'm assuming you haven't used a moving average before?

I don't use them as something that any strategy can be strongly based on
But
When the not smoothed MA calculates a point of plotting on the chart (according to the averaging of previous N candles data) this point doesn't changes its location relative to candles.

One thing that has helped me is using multiple timeframes, similar to how you would approach a moving average cross.

With the Simply Guppy Gap Strategy, the Guppy is the leader here. TMA/Cap systems are just helpers.

Test System trial, Guppy (RTE25) period EMA 25 and EMA 20 on TMA CG Period 7

with order manipulation in my EA it is still quite convincing

there is a gap of 2-3 candles between the EA and the indicator, Red Vertical line = cross buy indicator, Green Vertical line = EA Buy

The question now is.... if TMA CG can be used with my trading style, can it also be used in your trading style?

I have set up my trading style in the EA, all the settings are there and I can test any indicators that look interesting

That's the need to have your own trading style that best suits you, that way you can use any indicator that looks promising

The indicator system is important, but it is even more important if you have a standard structure for your trading style (Manual /EA)

This test is fully automatic trading
