EUR/USD has been oscillating below the 1.1000 level, but the pair reached a high of 1.1004 as the weakening US housing sector exerted downward pressure on the dollar. Have placed my sell order on EU am expecting EU to sell to 1.08500,but am expecting order to be triggered next week.

EUR/USD concluded the week robustly, climbing to 1.1030 following a decline to 1.0949 the previous day. Market anticipation of a Federal Reserve rate cut in September, along with persistent inflation in Europe, supported the pair's recovery. However, considering recent indications of a milder US recession, it is possible that the Federal Reserve's stance on Wednesday may not be as dovish as initially expected. Investors will also be closely monitoring Fed Chair Powell's remarks at the Jackson Hole Symposium this Friday for further clues on monetary policy.

From a technical perspective, resistance levels are located at 1.1047 and 1.1066; surpassing these barriers could pave the way for 1.1100/40. On the downside, support can be found at 1.0949 and 1.0940, with a break below potentially exposing the lows around 1.0900.

1.1004 is the support for now

EUR/USD is trading above 1.1015 after last Friday ignored that level of resistance and reached 1.1040 some pips below 1.1047 resistance and if it breaks opens the road to 1.1065 first. Support is at 1.1022 and should hold or 1.1008/04 could be next.

The Dollar Index is testing the support level at 101.90, which is an area it has bounced from several times to rise again.

If it was so easy there would be no dollar! But we must have retraces, September wlil be another sell off probably and if not for the EU, but at August and with limited participants any correction or uptrend could be a struggle!
