EUR/USD dropped to 1.1003 after mixed US CPI news failed to make it rise above 1.1047 high consolidating the gains for now. This price action should continue until more data come in the market. Resistance above the high of 1.1047 is located to 1.1062/65 and 1.1068. Support is at 1.0986/79 and must hold or EU will target 1.0963 next.

Then ... a return to a rally for the EU, depending on how bad the US news is

I am really sorry for the offence but if you see the calendar in Europe there are some banks closed and also US CPI yesterday was enough to tell us that big players now wait for the Jacksons Hole meeting next week for bigger movements!
Geopolitics are out of all. An outsider that can kick in and drop it 100 pips at once!

Core Retail Sales m/m - 3 times in the last 10 years results have been below expectation; once in last 5 years
Retails Sales m/m - 5 times in the last 10 years results have been below expectation; three times in last 5 years
Unemployment Claims w/w - Between Apr 2023 to latest update, unemployment claims were below expectation 118 times versus 107 above or equal to; In the last 12 months unemployment claims were below expectation 34 times versus 19 times above or equal to
