what the heck is going on with this spike?

i am short also. but seem to be down about 15 pips right now. not sure if this will fall that fast if it does. market is very slow and not sure if it will recover tonight.

I'm short GBP/USD, got almost stopped out. just missed it by 2 pips before it went back down.

I think its good to short the EUR/USD and GBP/USD right now because it has to recover from the 5 straight days of acceleration...I'm looking to short but at a higher price like around 1.3180 or close around there...It's moving too slow right now and will not move till later...I think its settled for the rest of the session...How long have you guys been trading? What is your target price for the shorts? How many pips are you looking to gain?

Shhh!! Dont tell everyone you are short... now I am not happy with my position. Seeing as so many of us 95% class are short...

SHORT on GBP/USD. Cable still has to recover from being WAY overbought. I think it will go down to the 1.9409 level at the VERY least before climbing again.

No !!! I made a little short trade right at the top of the spike... therefore it is impossible for market to drop lower...!!! We would not want tiki trader to win a trade now would we ???

they are not giving up on shorting the dollar. just gapped. wtf

china is not selling dollars. they are actually buyiing more; in the form of mortgage backed securities from fannie mae and freddie mac. the people selling dollars right now are the big traders and specs. the reason for the spike earlier was some yahoo from japan said something about raising rates again. the move happening now is from the positive japan news released at midnight eastern.
