People promote bullshit because they are lazy stupid gamblers who use magical thinking but not the knowledge.
By the other side since trading is a very complicated task it just not possible to share ideas and strategies with anonymous on forum.

if you HAD To choose between tradin confidence or common sense, which one would you choose ????

i know what id choose n why.

and intresting to note, you dont find common sense online round the place re tradin etc. certainly not anywhere on these sites. wot does dat tell you? lots of bloated !!tradin confidence!! dat steers more like a video game.

Hi RickM, the real no common sense are drawing lines from previous peak points and call them support/resistance. Expecting price to turn at pivots and fibs. Insisting they see liquidity of supply/demand on price charts. Some arsehole marketed these ideas as "technical analysis". Good for them they collected cash selling books and seminars. Ridiculous logic not just no common sense. Still wonder why the losers pool is 95%.

Here's why. Losers can't think, they argue defending other peoples ideas. How stupid is that.

Just to clarify for a complete picture.

It's ok for normal folks not to have logical ideas in forex trading that has no curriculum.

However, it's irresponsible besides being an idiot to defend and perpetuate illogical ideas that make no sense. No alternative is not an excuse. That's a losers mindset.

Edit - the path to success is to be brave stop accepting other people's silly ideas, stop recycling useless rubbish, raise your standard, create your own curriculum. Ideas have to be logical and objectively quantified - measure is the keyword, collate empirical evidence. It's difficult, not impossible.

so keep talkin keep sharin cause that’s how we learn right from each other from stories not just books not just graphs but the real nitty gritty of life the stuff that’s too messy for a clean cut diagram so what’s it gonna be u gonna keep playin it safe followin the herd or u gonna start thinkin for urself makin your own path cause that’s the real challenge innit finding your own way in this crazy messed up world of ours

not this pete guy but whatever. maybe but experience shows that a !!confident trader!! is only operating based on whats in their head. callin themself a trader for instance is a farsical title and shows no common sense since no digital activity these days is really trading anything but time n burnin electric. not much common sense in operating that way if u ask me. thererfore gamblin aint tradin its just an exchange in wording. ur !!confident trader! seems to be ....... lagging behind there in the old common sense department. so to me !!trading confidence!! can be faked or deluded. u might want to rethink ur idea of common sense as it needs to include - features, benefits & implications. happy trails

yeah i like 2 keep it fresh n real. been round long enough to know the game. people messed up think theyre sane n !!know!! so no im not messed up. i choose 2 think for myself. thats it, all thats needed to b said. maybe u need to reread a few things.

You trade your believe's Peter, not common sense.

Ask yourself why a new trader has the best trading mindset they will ever have for the next 5 years. They have no fear of anything and trade with freedom until that big loss comes along - then they are F....ed.

Common Sense comes along then and they become a fearful mess - unable to operate as a profitable trader for quite a while after that. Common Sense is good for choosing your next house, but for trading it creates a mindset that's unable to trade through fear of losing money.

Have you actually read "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas and actually understood its meanings.
Read it again mate.

Hi RickM, good point about fear. I discovered in my research the source of fear comes from one thing,

I call it market intent. As a day trader, when we look at our chart do we know the market intent for the day, the next hour, the next 4hours ? Do we know if the market is going to fall to some level then rise or rise to some level then fall ? In the next 1hr, next 4hrs ? Most traders have no idea, insist no one knows the future. I have repeatedly say that's blindness when we don't know market intent - the market moved 30pips in the last 1hr right before our eyes. And this blindness cause anxiety and fear that paralyse the trader.

That's why the source of psychology issues stem from ignorance of market intent. Simply put traders don't know the ongoing pump, how far the pump and the dump that follows in the next 1hr, 4hrs - blindness. What's worse when traders insist no one knows the future, that's reinforcing the losers mindset.

Otoh, knowledge of market intent is opportunity to the trader for the next hr, 4hrs. The mindset is positive and aggressive to take advantage of this pump and dump opportunity.

In summary, lack of knowledge - blindness result in fear, that's the losers mindset whereas knowledge of market intent leads to aggressive exploitation of opportunity, that's the winners mindset.

know many engineers do you? ever seen one throw a temper tantrum? ever seen the !!experienced traders!! on forums throw a tantrum or get upset or whatever wen their trade dont work out? ever known any actual traders that arent on social media? people loooove words but really, if ya tradin is based on da chart its TA nothin more. if its using any vps its vulnerable to sooo much. id say people need a goooood dose of somethin that aint on a some website. and to add here for ya, engineers make mistakes too.

me thinks hidin behind what ya call things is a good way to stay dumb n dusted. nothin on the sites is tradin just TA. so engineer or not sensible thinking and a liiiiiitle research could go a loooong way.
