Indicator Not Accurate

Is there any indicators that shows a positive entry? A friend of mine analysed the FIBO and it showed negative entry. Anyone faced the same issue?

+ is the sign for entry and - is sign of no entry.
I'm learning to use FIBO so my friend told me not to enter any trade because the FIBO shows no entry for trade yet.

I may embarrass myself here, but I'm going to guess English isn't your first language. It's difficult to understand what you're asking from the way you've worded your post.

I've seen this happen a few times now. I wonder if it would be a good idea that those who have a tough time with English, could have their native language listed under their "user title". That way, someone who speaks their language and does have a better understanding of English, can help them by PM and either clarify or answer the question.

While not a complete newbie, I do now have about 7 months experience. (The elders tell me I have just finished what could be my Freshman year if this were a 4 year college.)

So, with what knowledge I have, I will try to help.

EMA's are lagging indicators. Meaning that they are based on the "average" of the last 20 candles.....assuming you are using a 20 EMA. 100 if you are using 100 EMA, etc.

Fibonacci is really good, but even if they work, you have two issues:

ASSUMING that it works (eventhough they do quite often....) you have to wait and see if the 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, etc. ends up being your "entry".

PLUS you have to look at various time frames. I have found that in general, but not always, Fibonacci retracements tend to work really well on higher time frames. If you look at the 4 hour chart on major pairs, you will see quite a bit of examples of 50% retracements on the 4 hour chart. You will also see a lot of 61.8% retraces as well. The problem you have is that on a 4 hours chart, that could be a 30 pip difference, or more.

If you can find a trendline, and a 50% retrace on the 4 hour, that is two good reasons to enter. The best we can do is take trades that have 2 or 3 reasons to get in.

For example, let's say that you want to buy USD/CHF at a 50% retrace on the 4 hour chart. As it happens, there is also a nice uptrend line at the same spot. Although we like to have as many reasons as possible to take a trade, those are two compelling ones. (assuming there isn't a major news announcements coming out in the near future.)

Sadly, just because you have those reasons, it doesn't promise a positive result. But...more often than not, a trade like that will work out.

So let's say you have got into this trade, the next question is when do you get out? Some people take partial profits on 1 of 2 lots, etc. But, for simplicity's sake, a good spot would be to take some or all profits at the 38.2% retrace. (On a 4 hours chart, this can be a good 30 pips, or even more.) If you still have some of your money out there on the trade, you can aim for the 0% retrace. At this point, your stop loss should be at least break-even, and probably more. So let the other lot that you still have ride, and see if it goes to the 0%.

Anyways, that is a basic definition of what I would do. But a 50% retrace works quite a bit, but better yet, try to find retraces that have another reason to take the trade. (i.e. trendlines, EMA's supporting, or any other indicator.) The more things that are lining up the better.

Remember, even if you only take one trade a week, and it gains 50 pips....it will make you quite happy and wealthy.
