Today was an interesting day for scalping both longs and shorts. I managed to do well as a whole and increased my total net equity to an all time high since I started this system on November 26, 2023, just over 2 months ago now.
I also made it almost to +100% on my #10 Demo account. I already have $100 deposited in my #8 Live account to replace #10 Demo as soon as the goal is reached. I like this sort of discipline of waiting to invest until you prove your system to be successful. It's rewarding and encouraging to be able to upgrade after achieving progress. That makes a big difference to me psychologically so I can continue pressing on, knowing that greater rewards come when I do well.
At this point, I have 5 short and 2 long positions on EUR/USD.
I'm always mindful that price could go backwards on me, so I'm prepared to hedge accordingly when price action seems questionable or if unpredictable volatility is on the horizon. We do have FOMC tomorrow, so beware!
Long term macroeconomics point to a stronger USD versus EUR, but short term, we could possibly see spikes up to above 1.09 for tomorrow's FOMC and for the rest of the week. But after the news effect dies down, EUR/USD could start weighing heavier again, and continue the slide to 1.06 or below.
This is only my personal view. I could be terribly wrong, so don't follow my predictions blindly. I am not responsible if you lose money as a result.

I still have 3 underwater short positions around 1.0805 - 1.0817 from the other day, and didn't manage to close them this morning at the dip because I was sleeping.
But I had 4 longs running before the red news today, now in good profit.
Will close shorts and add more longs if price dips again. I expect bullish manipulation for the rest of this week, even if FOMC and other red news is bearish for EUR/USD.
My super (Spidey) sense says bulls will take any liquidity they can get for today and this week.
Maybe next week will be time to short again.

Very nice, but those +60-200% gains are similar to what my current scalping/hedging system is on track to make within 2-3 months. If I keep it up, where does that put me in 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years? Now that's real compounding...
I just gotta stay focused on pips and percentages, and stay with my leveling up system with a +100% goal per level. So, no matter the amount of $$ it involves, it all feels the same.

Currently, I have 3 demo accounts on level 1, and 8 live accounts on level 2.
At the rate of my current progress, I should finish at least 1 live account on level 7 by the end of July (6 months from now). That's just a rough estimate. Anything can happen. It might take longer. Finishing level 17 would probably take another year or so, or maybe more like 2 years.
I expect after level 17, things will slow down considerably because Oanda limits trade sizes to 100 lots at 50:1 leverage on EUR/USD.
100 lots requires a little over $200,000 margin

Oof, I log on to Oanda just now, and the whole bullish scenario I saw this morning looks like it failed. Price action on EUR/USD looks really bearish. So, it remains to be seen, is it a bearish fakeout and final test of support zone to go up from here for the rest of this week, or is this the beginning of the non-stop mudslide to parity?
I was occupied with driving taxi during FOMC so I couldn't focus on scalping the volatility. However, I did manage to close my old underwater shorts with small profits when FOMC news drove the price down to the bottom of the range.
Only 1 underwater long position remained after the FOMC volatility. I just now opened a short position to hedge it.

The average trading days for each of my 11 trading accounts combined of Demo + Live is 22.18 trading days. That's exactly 1 month. (Average trading days per month is 21.6)
So, technically, my system gained me +128.65% ROI in only 22 trading days (1 month)!!
That's way better than I expected to achieve.
The record time to achieve +100% ROI with any one account is now 5 trading days, done with #10 Demo, finished yesterday, now replaced by #8 Live.
The previous record was 6 days, done with #6 Demo, which was replaced by #1 Live on January 3, 2024.
So much done within 1 month.
My total growth so far is, again, far more than I expected by this time.
Considering my current progress, gaining +1,000% ROI within the next six months is well within reach. Hopefully, by then (End of July, 2024), I should have completed Level 7 of my leveling system, of Level 1 to 32, with at least one account.
Level 7 is trading Live $6,000 to $12,000, then withdraw $2,000 before starting level 8 with $10,000 (hopefully by the end of July, 2024).
Level 17 is trading $600,000 to $1,200,000, then withdrawing $200,000.
Level 32 is trading $600,000,000 to $1,200,000,000, then withdrawing $200,000,000
With my current rate of progress, level 17 could be reached within 18 months from today, calculating a bit slower percentage growth per level as the account gets bigger.
Level 32 could be done within 5-10 years, depending on if the broker even lets me trade that much at a time, as well as how much leverage they give me.
But, let's wait to cross that bridge until we get there. Just 1 level at a time, one day at a time. Staying focused on pips and percentages only. Ignore the $$ amounts. And you'll be fine.

I hope some of you guys can use this example as encouragement to keep trying until you also establish a consistent winning system. It took me 4 years and 3 months (51 months) of losing money and learning, to get to this point to start my current system on November 26, 2023. Now it's been 2 months of consistent gains, and I'm only just getting started. I'm not interested anymore in trying any other type of system that might do better for me because what I'm gaining here at this rate is already better than I expected to achieve consistently long term. Of everything I have tried and tested, my current system of scalping/hedging has been the most profitable consistently. So, I'm happy with it and am planning to stay with it.
