1 month experiment trading forex for kids

My son is almost 10, and I don't think he would be able to. Sometimes he lacks the patience to finish his homework

What method do you plan to teach him?

A simple method is daily trend bias like higher high lower high and draw it. And show it to him. then recognize the pattern.

I believe that it's cool that you have decided to teach your siblings how to trade. Maybe they will become great investors or traders in the future, as it's a well-known fact, the earlier a person starts learning something, if he won't give up, he will have a lot of chances to succeed at this sphere.
It's another evidence that trading is a sphere that doesn't know what age is, where even kinds can earn good money if they will follow simple rules.

updated the rules on the trade now. Still simple but has been good for 2 months and counting.

I just dont know about the kids if they continue it.

I have actually been thinking about teaching my 2 little kids to trade for a few years now. they are still too little tho, but it has always been an idea come and go in my head. lol.

the only thing that I would consider right now is what happen if instead of drawing them into trading, I made them hate it and never want to trade again. I mean, after all, trading is hard. If 95% of adults cannot succeed, how would a kid succeed? and trading is boring, when you are in the zone and know what you are doing, you really don't need to speak to anyone about anything you do with your money. you create a world of yourself to the point it is almost antisocial to whoever wants to get in. hahaha

skill and indicator isn't the hard part here. it is the consistency that needs to be developed within them. now, I think, what they need to learn and what they might like to know is how consistently doing something day in and day out would yield them unexpected results, good results.

if we talking about training consistency in the kids, trading is extremely boring. there is no sweat, no blood, no teamwork, and meaningless reward (money, yeah, but kids didn't know how to spend it and how much are you willing to let them risk to make some meaningful return just to catch their attention?) unlike other afterschool programs, any programs, especially competitive sports, not only consistency will be trained and competed over and over by their teammates and coaches, but also the kids will get rewarded with metals and awards to keep them motivated among their peers. that goes a long long way and is proven to work.

I don't know but I guess everything is worth doing and trying as long as you have fun. that's the key tho. Thank you for sharing and I will continue to battle the idea that my kids should sit next to me and learn how to read charts and walk out with a handful of cash on hand to spend on the next Christmas or thanksgiving. cheers!

It should be fun for them to learn breakout strategies. Like bounce strateiges are hard. And breakouts happen less often.

It’s an interesting experiment, but I think the results probably would be different if there were a risk of losing their own money involved.
As I understand they either trade on demo or with your money. But things can be turned around when there is an emotional factor.
But overall it’s a great thing from you. Maybe one of them will consider doing something like this in the future.

I don't know if they will continue it, I'll see them this new year.

There's little to no thinking involved for the kids. Just trade at 3pm to 4pm +8gmt and trade euro or gold.

Do they trade now? No. Did they have fun when doing it? So so. It was a chore i asked them to do before we went out on vacation so i can hope to spark trading interest.

They can do it. But it's boring for the young.

Yes. i have to get parental permission first, maybe this summer.

Rules came to mind is one pair. 30m atr for sl and tp. And 30m tokyo orb as method.

I'll ask first if they are interested else, like a few accounts i gave away wasn't really used or was simply ignored. So i had to close it and get the money back.
