That's great, so the winner was a dude who did nothing but managed to gain 45%...that's impressive.

I would like to go ahead and set up a new competition shortly.

It seems like people really enjoyed this one and others would like to get involved in the next.

The only problem I have with doing it with Oanda are the major discrepancies in the stats such as someone winning with a 45% return despite making no trades and the odd way people seemed to jump from first place to last for no apparent reason.

How about we try this with real money? Couldn't we all start with the same fixed rate say £100 ($200) and trade microlots with Oanda to see who produces the best return? It would be a lot more definitive.

Or does anyone know of any other companies that let you host competitions with them?

I know this will put off a lot of people but I just don't see that it's worth while putting in the effort with the way Oanda performed in the last one.

I'd be willing to stump up the cash to provide the winner with something - it's not going to be major because I don't have much money but maybe a £20 Amazon book voucher to get yourself a trading book or something - just a thought.

As far as dates how about to begin on Monday 9th July and to run for 6 weeks ending Friday 18th August?

I agree but even then I would doubt the reliability of Oanda's results!

As others have commented, how can a trader produce a 45% return with NO trades? That amount cannot be explained away by interest accumulation...
I think we should go ahead with the Oanda, unless there's something else out there...

Surly there is glitch and this should be taken up w/ Oanda. But was your % right?

Turbo I wasn't in my own competition because of some mishap at the beginning.

Well, lets see what others say - there seemed to be a lot of interest a few days back and now everyone is keeping quiet again...
Ok, I've set up another competition and registered for it myself this time!

Anything past end of July prolly won't make much sense.. August usually is dead. Unless people want to live to scalp +-5 pip moves for 4 weeks
