thank you very much for your reply. I am very interested in testing this EA. I feel it has a lot of potential. I am right now in another project, so can't devote much of my time, but hopefully in about one to two weeks I will be doing more thorough testing with this one.

Who ever is forward testing, just know that you need to atealst do backtesting before, if you just forward test alone, you will waste time and have very little data to backup

Hi, not much an expert on optimization. While I try to run it, with an optimization set like the one posted above by juisen25 I get the below (journal), but cannot get anything on the "Optimization Results" and "Optimization Graph" tabs.

don't just take sets from someone and try to optimise, since you don't know the thoughts behind those settings.
Best is to try to understand how the EA works, by just letting the backtest run with some settings which you think makes sense (or the ones posted) (no optimisation yet). Then change parameters and see how the results change. Best also do visualisation, so you can follow how it places its orders and when. Once you have some basic understanding of its working, then it makes sense to try to optimise the parameters.
The other method of just blindly optimise all different combination of parameters in principle would work also, but for that you would need many different iterations with different parameters (using systems used for quant trading system development)... but that is not really possible with meta trader. So you should have a basic understanding in which range each parameter should be, and within those ranges, you could then try to find the optimum settings...

The response from metatrader on your optimisation run basically means, it can't find any sets of parameters (within your given ranges and limitations) which are profitable...

What happened to the forward and backtests traders were running? Anyone who can update us about their tests?

An Ea for testing without any rules... it s like in the fog....
OK... let z lift it...

Used inside only 2 indicators:
- Synergy_Pro_TDI.ex4(Settings:10,5, SMA)
- donchian-channel.exe(Settings: 20)

Higher TF is useless... because if you are in first M15 of H1... you are calculatin with the next 3 M15 parts of H1... you look into the future....

Long: Yellow line crosses red line TDI up
Short: Yellow line crosses red line TDI down
(Code in Line #455ff)

Exit:
- You can set a fixed amount on SL/TP in pips or use DC
- TPDonchianMagnet let you set a trailing stop/tp with DC

Thought this is helpful here...
I know...exit may need more explanation, but I m too lazy 4 desc the exit more..

I would do not every cross instead an other strategy if you just have the donchian on chart...
Any good ideas 4 exit?

Hi, very interesting EA. I did backtesting with this set, and the others, with data to 99.9% but always lost. I don't know how you got that profit.
