Quoting truccoDislikedI see the pound sliding like on the soup..unless all the trading floors employee in london are doing extrawork and trading now, it sounds absolutly 'unnatural' , in forex, such behaviour.
No market is open at this timeIgnored
Quoting enoc2gDislikedguys dont jump the gun too soon on that retracement again price action is still pointing up dont get stuck short, remain neutral theres alot of fundamental data out this week that could affect price action...Ignored
Quoting stevietDislikedSuperb thread - great posts from Mr Trend and Twinchell - I think you can see from the responses why most don't make it in Forex.
Trade with the trend or more than likely you will lose your shirt
I've been trading with this trend since last Sunday and am currently up 1500 pips - have done nothing special apart from trade with the trend and totally ignore those that were imploring me to close my GBPUSD long from 1.8954 since about 1.9050
Just trade what you see and try not to second guess where the reversal points are going to be.
Kind Regards

Quoting truccoDislikedI would like to invite and remind to all of those here that are beheving like professors because one time they made a good trade of 1000 pips in 3 days, that this was an exeptional situation, and being 'lucky' or 'good' one time doenst make of you a good trader.
I see a bit too many lessons here, from some I know are good in the long term, and some I dont even know.
As I said, this was not a normal week, so this is not a good example to show 'IM A GOOD TRADER', or even worst, 'TO GIVE A LESSON' to those who lost money.
CheersIgnored

... this was not a normal week....

Quoting stevietDislikedI'm sorry, I really didn't mean to come across like that - I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on. I appreciate last week was exceptional but for those trading with a trend system it's the payback week that they wait for.
Kind Regards & thanks for the kind welcome

Quoting RezoDislikedYep, such moves are not a usual thing. Even if we take the weekend when Saddam was captured, we had a 170 pips gap on EURUSD (as far as I remember).
And now, without any serious reason except for thin market conditions and friday squeeze and break of several strong levels (which operantly triggered some huge stop sell orders on US$)- we have almost same gap...
abnormal indeed.
But! Trend is your friend, no matter conditions.
(Right Mr Trend? )
Good Luck!

Quoting truccoDislikedHi steviet,
I didnt mean you in particular, yours was just the last post I saw in this thread where everybody seems to be giving lessons today
My apologise. And welcome.
I just think that is a bit too easy to say :
'just follow the trend', because this is absolutly unnormal situation, and if forex would be always like this, we would be all rich, if a trend lasts 500 pisp in 3 days everytime...like this , following the trend is easy for sure
But the reality is a bit different...
Everybody wants to trade with the trend, unless he likes to harm himselfIgnored
