Gents,
We must always check and validate supporting confirmation Indicators for functionality and correctness and NOT just cosmetically.
Indicators may look pretty BUT do they function correctly....
The majority of Indicators originated within the Stock Market and NOT the Forex Market - a big difference.
Also, they may NOT align with the other Indicators or your trading style (Scalping / Intraday / Swing etc.)...

I made a quick comparison of the %R vs TDI (see screenprint) and both Indicators are good but we must remember that this is a Trading Business, and we are always searching for the best system to give us a Trading Edge over or equal the Banks...

The old age question will always arise - How many Indicators does a typical Retail Trader need ???

YOU must remember to find a System that is compatible to your trading style and trading schedule.....
The Channel System works well on various TF's and Instruments.
If YOU are satisfied with this system, then quit looking for another system and NOW master the trading process (Entry, Management and Exiting).
The Holy Grail is YOU and not the system or tool or the Lambo that you dream about.

First, I give you the shoes to wear BUT now it's up to YOU to walk, jog and run with these shoes - no one else.

YOU must learn to perform your risk analysis first and learn to manage losses secondly.
This is a Business, like all businesses we have losses and winning days.
YOU have a trading system BUT you now must learn to Manage the Business.
We do NOT trade per day as a business - we manage the Business to our needs and expectations per week.
We deposit some real money into a trading account, use our system and manage the Business and withdrawal weekly.
Repeat this policy per week - BUT we mature (set monthly goals) with time and experience.

TRADING BUSINESS PLAN

Account Protection - A Stop Loss is defined to manage a potential loss (an agreed trade percentage).
Account Reward - Trade Target(s) - Take Profit(s) - the closed trade profitability per trade and per day.

Common Sense definition of Profitability - a daily financial gain of 1 to 10% depending on the account startup Balance (anything below 500 USD).
Trading Schedule - a minimum of 1 hour to up to 8 hours of defined trading session per day to enable the Trading Business - go slow to build later.
Trading System - a simple by design and application of a defined set of Indicators that YOU enjoy and can use daily (no more system chasing).

Plan 3 to 6 months using a Demo Account (less than 500 USD Balance) to build your confidence and to meet the above Policies. Patient planning prevents piss poor performance. Work this Demo account with business commitment. Only YOU will become the EXCUSE.

For me I must use real account in practice to get the real feel of the pain .
Usually I did good in demo, but when it comes to real money, the feel and the emotion slightly different. My psychology in mess.
Now I already get used to it, and calm day by day.
