The DaillyFx plus feature is only available for live members

True. I was really ticked about this. I guess you can't get something free forever. I did open an account with them early this morning. I'm still waiting for my ID verification to clear, but that should get me back into the squwak box. It is true you must be a live money member to access the squwak box now. Minimum deposit on a mini account is $300. There are no minimum trading requirements, so basically it comes down to having $300 tied up for the privilage of seeing the squwak box.

Hopefully the new layout will be as user friendly as the old one. Also does anybody know of any other sources for the thompson squwak box?

I received an email that they just upgraded the news plug in for their trading platform. I cant wait for so long!

Looks like FXnews over at OANDA has the Thompson data. Not sure if they release it on demo accounts though.

it is a java problem which is the language netdania charts are written in. When experiencing chart delays or freezes close all your internet browser windows and then re-open them. Cached java applet resets itself when you close your browser. You should also look into updating your java software which can be found at www.java.com and its absolutely free. Keeping your software up to date is always a good idea.

FXCM might be using the netdania feed but in my experience I found it to be the FXCM power charts that are freeze and not the the ones straight from netdania http://www.netdania.com/ChartApplet.asp

when using the MT4 platform and simultaneously having open an offline chart and a live chart in the same timeframe and on the same cross I've discovered that price sometimes freezes at the point the offline chart was opened.

Hi I noticed the same thing....and this is what I think is the cause:

FXCM has initiated a NDD option for their account holders. They have switched many of their clients to the option and their feed cooresponds with those accounts. I have a fixed account, and the dealing desk rates are very different at times to their NDD option. The way I get around the issue is to use a "standard" feed from my charting package. There is a minor difference, but it stays pretty constant (any where from 1 - 3 pips difference depending on the pair). I just add it into the bid while trading a figuring stops.

Am assuming you are on the fixed spread account? If not, then it is a lag in the feed (like you get at news times w/FXCM feed)....hmm should have looked at the original post date....assume you got it figured out already...sorry for the post

fxcm power charts are java also, so again this is a java issue...
If you want to take a more professional approach use a platform based charting and not applet based.
Applets such as java are by far less reliable.

I don't know what the deal is, but you always suggest that any Java charting is bad, unreliable, etc.
I personally think that is bull. It all depends what the feed is like and also how the charting software is developed.

The FXCM station froze on me much more often than any charting applet.

I was simply pointing out they should be one in the same but the bottom line is one freezes and the other doesn't that has just been my experience

But I do agree if you trading full time or on small time frames pay the money and use platform.

I am a client of FXCM and I DONT use it. I find it is far too complicated and the detail is rather old with a lot of irrelevent detail. Also I cant have FXCM Trading Station AND this lot up at the same time!

These FF pages have more relevent detail so stay here is my advise.

I agree with Fairwind. My main gripe with the FXPlus is that the data, signals etc are too old and only suitable if you are trading in the US session.

I find the speculative sentiment index is quite enlightening.

I use the technical analysis portion. It always does what they post. Just have to pick the right direction of the trade. They give you a buy and a sell signal and it always does one or the other. That's about the only good thing I can say about FXCM. technical analysis is okay.........

Is there anything else it can do other than buy/sell? lol
