There is even some dude advertising on Youtube on how important multi monitors are an essential need for trading. He also promotes a 'seminar' on how to set up a multi monitor trading station. Man, why would you sell how to set up a trading station? People these days and their marketing ploys to sucker new traders with their fancy lingo. Go check it out and laugh your assess off!

Honestly I don't know. This was my girlfriends library before I got a hold of it. I was going to use the same desk as Muddbuddha has, but she wasn't hearing it. Well, originally, the library would have stayed more intact than it ended up.

She'll be back shortly and I'll ask her.

The boxes I think you are referring to though is actually a shelf that I simply sat on top of the desks.

Well heres mine, no fancy 3D (doubles as a replicator) huge wide screen monitors yet and my PC still runs on coal but it serves me well and the pencil on the desk is new.

To all those who use multi-monitors, do you find your PC to be sluggish at times. Can someone tell me what type of system configuration you have? When I search sites on recommended PC configuration for multi-monitor, the computer technology is still old in my opinion, that is, not this new dual core technology.

no there is no speed difference at all when the computer is active. Of course if having multiple monitors results in you running more programs, then of course there is that impact.

however it is sluggish at one point. The more monitors you have, the longer it takes to awaken the computer (by moving the mouse or typing something). It can be annoying waiting for all those monitors to come on. However, if you have 2 or 3 then it is not that noticeable. But once you get to 5+, then it is annoying.

XP has the capability of establishing 2 monitors if your video card allows it. My notebook has a monitor in the notebook and a extra plug on the back for another and xp supports that setup. I do not know if that will help you.

I have 2-26" Dell HDTV LCD's running on a Dell E510 Dual Core, 64BIT.....once I upgraded the memory to 2Gb, it no longer needed to use drivespace to store info for screen refreshing...that made all the difference in the world.

I have a 128Mb Dual output video card with DVI/VGA...fairly common card.

Ive just added a second monitor and im using windows xp and a gforce 5200 graphics card. The trouble is when i go into display settings it shows the 2 monitors in the window but when i try to identify it sees them both as monitor 1. All i can get the monitors to do is show the same thing on both screens.

Can anyone please help

you were not able to change setting for one of the monitor to be secondary and not have both as primary?

yes it gives me the choice right up to where you where you identify your monitor and they both show a big 1 on the screen

thanks for your help everybody, just been told the problem is my motherboard so its having a new one fitted as we speak. i told the techie to put a forex friendly one in but i dont think he knew what i meant. Right id better go as my lad wants his laptop back.

As a secondary system I use a VT Book. www.vtbook.com

Less then $400 USD for the card and cables and works perfect for charting. Would not use it for high end graphic work but is perfect for trading in general.
