If you have already weighed all pros and cons, and came to the conclusion that it is better to leave rather than give trading another attempt, then feel free doing it.
Trading isn't for everybody, and I'd say, it suits particular people with certain state of mind. Anybody can learn trading, but not all are capable of earning good money in the long run, that's a fact.
But, sometimes, there are such crisis situations when you feel like you are over, but in reality, it can be fixed by one more try.

I don't understand why EUR/USD seems to be so popular trading. What makes it so special? I find the US30 futures much "easier" (though I'm still losing overall). So, my first incline is to stay away from forex. But maybe I miss something?

It's the king and queen pair. It is tight with the least spread and is a carry trade in favor of usd

Hey man,

I know Forex trading can be tough and super frustrating at times, but don't give up just yet. Remember, every pro trader was once where you are now, feeling lost and ready to quit. It's all part of the learning curve.
Think about why you started trading in the first place. You saw potential, a way to grow your money, and maybe even a passion for the markets. It's still there, bro. Maybe you just need to tweak your strategy or give yourself more time to learn.
Take a break if you need to, but don’t quit. Use this time to learn, practice on a demo account, and come back stronger. The markets aren't going anywhere. You’ve got this! Keep pushing, and one day you'll look back and be glad you didn't throw in the towel.

Im glad to say after wanting to quit 2018, I changed my mind and am glad I soldiered on. My best advice is learn the language of the market.

It’s difficult no doubt when you reach a bad phase in trading. Hitting highs and lows in trading is something many traders experience, and you are not an exception. Instead of giving up on your trading career, perhaps, take a break, and assess whether any major strategy changes are needed. It could be minor adjustments that bring success. If after all, you feel it’s not your cup of tea, then hey, that is all fine as well! What is equally more important is you so do not stress yourself – every single trader has got such a history.

Hey man, trading is definitely not for everyone, and if you are having issues with it despite the fact you tried your best, then yeah, probably it’s the right thing to do. However, if you quit forex trading it doesn’t mean you need to quit trading as a whole. I would recommend you to look at the stock market for a long time. I mean buying the quality stocks or indices and just holding them over the years & compounding your balance. Even grandmas in the US hold SP500, so it’s not that tough.

Hello brother.
I read your post and I felt pain in my heart because I understand exactly how you feel. I am a Japanese hobby trader living in Chiang Rai, Thailand. When I started, I also lost money many times and felt like the market was rejecting me.
Taking a break and going back to work is actually a very wise decision, not a failure. The market will always be here. It does not run away. Working a normal job gives you stable mind and money.
Please do not blame yourself. Take a good rest and enjoy your life. If you ever decide to come back in the future, we (the community) will still be here.

I understand wanting to quit. Trading is not for everyone. But i not do it. I kept trying until a kind soul showed me that my method and money management were fine. But my trader psychology was screwing me up. Fixed that and I became profitable.

I advise you to give it a second chance and actually combine it with your work. What will you lose in this case? Trading is all about grinding and grinding, failing, reshaping your personality, and one day, getting on the wheels of a well-built trading system that was tested in the battle.
Basically two things that beginners misunderstood:
1. It’s not about luck and winning every time, it’s about not getting excited about wins and accepting losses as a part of the game.
2. You can’t beat the market. You’re not smart. The only thing you can, is to increase your probability of winning. Trading is all about probabilities and patience of course. If everybody quitted after few month of trading and account blowout, we wouldn’t have any trader now and this forum wouldn’t actually exist LOL

It's a common rule that investing 10,000 hours into anything makes you a professional in it. Same with forex. You can surely quit forex, but you can't state that you can't do it, because you haven't given it a proper try. However, you can decide that putting so much effort into forex is just not something you want to do, and that's okay. One thing I can say for sure - successful traders have also struggled for years and didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel, but they kept pushing and perhaps that's what made them stand out from the crowd.
