noobie question

wan to ask 1 thing, let say i got 30,000 account and i wan to play 100:1 leverage. i use 10,000 from my account so after leverage it will be 1000,000 then i need to trade over the phone? cannot use MT4 platform anymore? cos i heard ppl trading more than 1 mln need to do it over the phone or divide it into 2 parts? i am not clear in this.

It depends on your broker.

From the sounds of things, you should think very carefully before jumping into risking $10,000 a trade.

This really depends on the broker you have.

Most brokers offer 1-click deals up to $10 million US. That means that you can send orders through the trading platform for up to that much.

Of course, this amount varies greatly by the liquidity in the currency. This threshold will decrease with less liquid pairs.

Some brokers (like IBFX) have a certain lot-size limit. I believe it's 100 lots (10 million currency units leveraged at 100:1) on their standard platform or 50 lots (1 million currency units leveraged at 200:1) on their mini platform.

Check with some of the brokers who run ads on FF. Ask them about their spreads and order policy. Call them on the phone and see if they are easy to deal with.

You're talking about a substantial account. Read the stickys about money management and leverage before you go any further. Your account will evaporate quickly if you overleverage.

Go to the Forex Discussion forum here at FF and read the thread titled "USD/CAD Trend Reversal". You'll find a few posts from people who have just taken hard hits by overleveraging in the past few days.
