do they ask for too much personal info?...i would never give them my social security number or bank account number....if i could deal with them with just credit card info i might try a 5000 challenge for what like 25 dollars just so when they get regulated out of existence i could say i tried it once

Last few years i trade only with prop firms.
Got more accounts cause using multiple firms.
Those top ones, if you trade not violating the rules, you always get payouts.
If you want more info about those tops, you can always dm me, cause i will not suggest something to others if i didnt be sure about it.

Just showed how im doing it,and doing it Right, how it should be done .
By saying how it should be done, i mean not about results,but parameters, that I have always TPS and SL, cause trading with gold without Stops, its suicide, and nobody could proove me wrong,cause gold is risky asset,and one day everything might spike in other direction than needed and eat your balance or margin call.
Sharing on ff can impact other members,thats why i always do it with more information behind it. Where is my tps and stops, other buddies of mine know that i love to hedge positions and close them even before full tp,cause i love safe trading, and when there is more than one position,it gives me advantage to quit earlier with same result or even better than to wait for full tp. But for others i dont recommend doing if you dont have knowledge how to combine it.
Thats why i tell to all members look carefully what some fake Gurus are sharing,will not mention them by names,cause they know who they are.

If you have enough money don't use them. Because of very simple reason: to get to real account of 10000 you have to earn 13000 throughout the challenges.

If a trader cant manage risk, its worthless.
If a trader is not consistent, ts worthless.
If you good at both , i cant see any logic why you should not

And as i said multiple times,
Some trade only to show off and get couple of cents,
Some trade consistent and safe, i prefer consistency and safe trading. Im good at it.
What i do in life , only trade gold and us30, nothing more, no other businesses . So i need to feed my family and everything,so for me its better to invest 500 into prop firm for example, after passing challenges and etc, receive 1-5-10 k payout. Why not ? But thats only my opinion, for somebody it might sound fishy and they prefer to invest 5-10-20 or more thousand bucks for safe trading, It all depends on a trader.To choose and do what is good for him.

its moot if the firms ask for too much personal info and verification like real brokers cause lots of shady operaters in it...owner of surgetrader that advertises here just got caught stealing from church group in a ponzi scheme

if i did it would probably be with someone like my forex funds in canada cause they have some regulation up there i would think....i wouldnt trust an offshore company in the balkans like FTMO since they probably run by russian mafia LOL... i just want to try a small challenge so i can say i tried a propfirm once..

With this mindsetup and if you can get wins then you can achieve better results with your own money. Also because to get funded you have to earn alot, if you have the money you can use that time to earn real money. But indeed it is better to loose 500 then 10000.

I like Gold and US30 too. Every instrument has its own peculiarities, traits. I remember when US30 fell in a bit strange day 1000 points, range can be huge sometimes.

I hadn't heard of surgetrader story. The setup of prop firms is based on 'ponzi scheme'. There business is based on getting fees from loosed challenges.
