Mostly I stay with my positions but yes sometimes I remove my limit orders in order to maintain free margin. There is no hard rule , all depends on PA.

the news cant be trusted. USD at negative for ISM, but it doesnt affect gold much

Seriously like wtf? Negative news for dollar and yet usdx goes up while gold falls down? What type of madness is this even after high impact news do they need a little more time to react according to the news or what? It hit my sl and flew away like why does it have to happen to me everytime

Yes, that is why, correlation cannot be trusted who like to watch DXY.

Sometimes trading has a bit of fundamentals and technical.

For today, fundamentals is not helping.

But its best to avoid news at all cost

DXY is on its way to recovery. Won’t see change like you would expect until NFP at the least. Tricky to enter now, Gold seems to have a mind of its own.

Since nobody explained to you how news in FX work, then I'll explain.

During the release of High-Impact News, big banks are catching SL's from us (retail traders) and it doesn't matter if news were good or bad. Big banks decide where to push the price and news are just noise. So no, news being good for USD or not doesn't matter! Sooner you realize this the better! This is why you shouldn't have any trades open during the news, because this is when big banks push the price violently wherever they want, despite if news were good or bad.

Stop trading during the news if you don't want to lose all of your money or good percentage of it quick!

If you check out Tradingview and us dollar index you will notice that trading volume in the NY session is about the same as in the LO session when this is not usually the case.
At this time it appears to me at least that the 'heavy hitters' are on the sidelines. Trade carefully.
