If price break the level of 1963 then i will be looking to close short positions at BE or at minimal loss.

How do you guys handle fear in trading? I am almost funded again through a prop firm and I find every time I get 1% away from funding fear takes over everything and taking trades is hard, then you watch happen when you expect then you finally enter after calling last 5 moves of 50 pips correct to be wrong on the ones you enter. Fear is a real obstacle for me and a big controller to holding back my success

i have alot of techniques...on my futures broker their platform has pods can move around so i delete the p+l window so dont watch my profits evaporating and panicking me LOL

on thinkorswim stocks you cant delete the p+L box so i have a piece of tape covering that up when i trade stocks

i go away from the monitor when i first enter a trade and watch tv but i trade 15min /hour and daily charts maybe not good if youre a minute scalper

personally i wouldnt mess with a prop firm cause too many rules id feel like i was fighting against my broker as well as price

these prop firms are modern day bucket shops from jesse livermores day....when he started winning they kicked him out

ill short the close on the 3 hour candle in 40 min if stays this way


edit...hell with it im not waiting that long ill short now at 1957.30
so i got 2 shorts and a sell limit at 1960 still

I see their value for getting your off ground floor.
Personally I have been funded before and gotten 5 figure payouts a few times where I wouldnt have been able to get that on my own that fast. I hear ya with the rules but really the main rule that people break is the 5% max daily drawdown or the 12% overall which seems pretty fair given its their capital.

For some reason ever since my last time I was funded to now and life stressors there is so much fear and uncertainty in my head its taking away a lot of my potential trades and overthinking getting into losing trades in the end
