Simple 4 Hour System

This is what I call a "Classic". A move of 850 pips. How much you want, you decide (The difficult part and one of the reason why many fail). The Yellow is the main entry and the blue is the re-entry.

where is the volatmeter indicator in the chart?
I do not trade USDCAD. I pulled it up, just to show the main setup. Anyways, here is the chart again with the indicator. You will see, the green is above the white.

I must agree with you, it looks like the best trades are when the green is above the grey (volatmeter) already before you open the trade. Sometimes it is not, will you wait for it to cross before you open the trade, or will you ignore the trade?

When do you close your third position? On a cross of the price with the MA?
This is a USDCHF chart. Again, I do not endorse it, as I do not trade it. Please do your own research.

1. The blue box is the main entry, but if I had taken this trade, I wouldn't enter it because the bar was over 100 pips. I would take the trade at the first retracement.

2. The yellow box is the first retracement.

3. The second yellow box, you can either ignore if your main entries are still open, or you can add to them.

4. The pale green box is a third re-entry, but a tricky one as it did not touch the 100 SMA line, so I wouldn't have taken it.

5. Well, you can see where the price eventually went.

Yes, I wait for the green to cross, but if it is too long, then I wait for a retracement to get in, if not, just ignore. I am conservative.

I trail the 3rd position.

Look at eurchf. Watch how it is hesitating at the 100 SMA line. Incidentally, it happens to be the weekly S1 too.

This is an update of the chart I posted a few hours back. You will see the eurchf bounced off the weekly support line and the 100 SMA line. The bar closed slightly below the 100 SMA, but since it did not break the weekly support, I did not take the trade. The price is still above it with a high of 17 pips.

Hello. I like it. But I have question about pivot indicator I posted in screen red circles is it working correct?

Also I added MA 5 Linear weighted and 20Ma linear weighted to look best possibilities for re-enter and also 50MA will be very good here.

I use only the weekly pivot and SR lines. Enabling all of them makes it difficult to trade.

You can add anything to personalize it, but I like to keep it simple. This is how I designed it, and so, this is how I will keep it.

1. The 100 SMA does a very good job in giving buy/sell signal.
2. as a dynamic support resistance.
3. and also helps in indicating the trend direction.
4. Re-entries.

The Pivot indicator does a good job again in showing key SR areas. The Volatmeter helps in identifying a ranging and trending market.

I guess that is enough to make money. At least for me, it is.

My broker is GMT +2 so I have to wait another hour before my 4 hour bar closes. Well, let's see how it goes. Also, at the moment the grey line is still above the green line on my Volatmeter. Is yours different?
