I had to make an account for this. I've been trading since 2015 and I've lost money until I became profitable starting from Aug 2019. Yep, four years of losing money. I'm still no where close to being a full time trader but I think I can get there in 2-3 more years. My secret is that I stop aiming for high profits and focus more on consistency. I'm only targeting around 2.5% per month on average. I know this is not a lot for many people, but 30% per year CONSISTENTLY is huge, trust me. Account growth is slow compared to others but who cares. It's slow but I'll get there eventually. When I do, it will be glorious.
Forex is not a get rich quick thing. Take it slow my friend and don't give up. You will get there.

I have 5+ years of trading, and I personally know of only 1 of my friends. He work as a professional trader working at a company. Howver, he does not trade forex. More of stocks and commoditys. Also he make use of the bloomberg terminal which i think is an edge of its own kind.

I'm in the green now. It took me around a year to recover the losses. When I was losing money, the account was small since I don't want to risk much because I was still learning.

I met a such one. Can't say that we were best friends but we talked to each other a lot even about something aside from trading. Actually it's something that helps him to earn money and provide for his family.
He told me something about his trading path and it was thorny as hell. I couldn't even imagine that a human could lose so much money xD But it was back then when he started trading and was really really green. Gradually when hs started to accumulate experience, easily detect regularities in the price changes, he understood how money is made on this market.
