Agree, when I have doubt of price reaching the 5 pip target it is better to walk away and not hit SL; part of my continued training in the DHR Line Method.

However, on an another project, still figuring out the coding and rules, was short on EU and already TP. This is not mentioned in this thread as a different method. A thread will be started on the method in due course.

EURUSD 15M:

Not traded. Prefer to get it wrong this way round than hit SL. Always another setup.....

If we consider the DOS Candle Method (https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...o-trade-simple).

The day after a significantly larger than average candle body in one direction, there is usually ~20 pips move in the other direction >90% of cases.

However in the DHR Line Method we are waiting for 50% ADR(10) to be reached, which I felt may be beyond the expected move and proved wrong today.

For the DHR Line Method the sell line would be calculated as (High of the current Day-(ADR(10)/2)) which is 1.09328 currently as dynamic. Is this how the line was calculated?

Or is that the mid line of the day? Apologises if I have not understood; I also code in pine script.

but, the reward be risk of this strategy is 1/4. is it good u think?
the wins must be 8 of 10 that the result would be 0.
i think its not good, and for solving this issue, ive a proposal.

u can enter the 1/3 of the ADR for tp of 3 and sl of low of the day.
for this work, we must assume the trend of the day (means bullish or bearish)

hope my suggestions can help.

I understand the risk ratio is not great but that is where learning when and when not to trade comes into play through observation of what the market is telling us. It has been shown through the live trades presented over approximately two months in this thread that once the market can be analysed the TP rate is in the >90%.

It is understood two months is a short period of time but in those two months the markets has changed shape a few times and the method still worked.

Using a pending order EA I see that most months the method has significantly more TP trades occur over SL trades; as previously stated adding human market analysis takes the method to the next level

Coud you explain the "Percentage of ADR" display on chart? Is there rule to trade or no (depending of the value of this ADR)?

i mate would you consider to create one dashboard based on failed high-low may be you see fhl indicator (wich was my idea though i have zero knoledge daniel bro created for me. Failed high low mean smart money liquidity sweep fhl mean darkclud and piercing ,fhl mean failed swing aka trap so one dashboard wiil be fantastic tool for any smc or price action trader ..imho.thanks in advance

Hi 8tango,

Apologises for the late response. The Percentage ADR tells us how close we are to the 50% mark at which a trade is taken if confirmed. The idea is when 50% of ADR(10) is reached a trade is taken if confirmed. The lines tells us if we are looking for a buy or sell trade at the 50% of ADR(10). The buy line is 50% of ADR from low of the day and vice versa for the sell. So it is a kind of a race to see which line is reached first.

For reasons unknown to me, the 50% of ADR(10) region is where the action occurs; be it breakout or failure to breakout. I have tried all different ADR values and have always come back to ADR(10).

Hope that makes sense.
