Today was a good day and I performed so poorly. BUT I didnt lose any money since I doubted all of my usual entries. On the bright side emotions were accepted as they reared their ugly head and then set aside and not acted upon. Which means I had 0 mistakes.
Now with the benefit of hindsight I will show what I spotted but didnt enter a trade

neither bullish or bearish. lacking any context of higher frames and no clear trend. I pass

EDIT : actually I would be more inclined to short , but not at that spot and 100% not buying

But why you inclined to short ? and where you might look for shorts?



Just for the time being forget about higher time frames.. and you should be able to read some context with this chart..

I am just trying to show you guys some pointers about how to read the charts... may be you can add that to STRAT'S PASR.. if that helps your trading..

I would expect some move like this or short the highs if it gets back there

if by absurdity I hadn't checked on m5/m15 that there was a support there, I would have taken that setup most likely

Change of behavior
here look at the last 3 swings... I think you might already know this.. what happened to the angle of the swings ? the angle reduced. The last swing grinding up very slow... that happens when the Market makers see the fundamentals are in favour for bear market

this last supported PRICE broken now right? (with a toxic sell) ..this price range is what we call change of behavior ....

this bulge happened due to bull and bear battle... so its clear that the bear won the battle...

This level is what we call (you can use any other wording if you want) Change of behaviour (COB) level...
its important to see price break the level with vigor and spend time below the level

Next time when PRICE approach this level you should pay attention... that doesn't mean you sell it there..

So what if the PRICE didnt react to that level.(NO PASR).. what is the next level we should watch for PASR?

To the people who do not know how to apply the volume profile... then its safe to assume the middle price of the range to be the level (most of the times) to watch here


if none of these levels worked then you should be careful with the trade..cos the fundamentals might have been changed..


something for you guys to think... little bit different stuff... if you think its useless for your trading. Then throw it to the bin... if not then go through some charts. and see .its happening again and again.. cos thats where the big boys might enter the market

There are some other fundamental indicators we using to support the decision making process here...but that's out of the scope of this thread..

That is interesting and thanks for showing us your perspective. For me personally it is not something I will use. If anything, I want to REDUCE things from my charts not add more or different things. Price action though is price action, and no matter what you use it will boil down to candles and SR

My guess is that there is support at the bottom. I find it a very aggressive entry , but worked out pretty good.

I can see on previous screenshot CLNxx something or other at the right side. Is this crude oil futures?
