Need help: Change EA from sleep to delay

I need a coder to help alter an EA I have coded for a strategy, but sleep does not work in MT4 backtester. Kindly appreciate some help changing to delay so can be backtested. Thanks.

My suggestion is to use EventSetTimer() in OnInit to register an event callback in every defined seconds. Then you can implement your logic in OnTimer().

I have used these in MT5, not sure MT4 has similar API yet. Please confirm by yourself.

Thank you, really appreicate the help. Coded and works. Have not ventured into mql5 yet due the hassle of recoding everything! Wish there was a converter like there is in Tradingview pine-script; which converts from one version to another at the click of the mouse.

Our fellows did a lot to convert the Blessing EA which is orignal wrote in MQL4 to MT5 platform.
They were introduced a very long header section into the source code and made it compatible to both MT4 and MT5 (need change file extention when compiling).
With the header section, you won't need to change any line of your MT4 code. The limitation is you can't use MT5 exclusive timeframe in your EA.
