my man, are you using tradingview? there are lots of cool ict indicators in their library.
why not use mt4 just for trade execution? don't get me wrong, just an idea

It can be done but will take a bit of time since you aren’t using conventional trailing and the requirement “when the profit of all buys gets to £2, stop loss starts at £0.20 for ALL buys together” is un clear

As you know there is no font size setting to the fibo object, so to get around that you'd just recreate the levels with trendlines and text objects, simple with minimal additional lines but far greater control over display and function.

Your points -- "needlessly lengthy" and rewrite vs. retrofit -- are comments I partially agree with. I had not intended such an extensive modification, but one thing led to another. I'm sure you have a library of functions you re-use, and it takes almost no time to cut-and-paste proven functions into such rewrites.

I wrote my 'stringSplitBySpaces' and 'stringSplitByDelimiters' functions well before the MQL4 'StringSplit' function was available in b600+. (Or, if it was available, I was unaware of it). Your one line to split by commas is much better: fib_level_count = StringSplit(FibLevels,StringGetChar(",",0),fib_levels_str);

From your source, I am informed of a better/easier way to implement that specific function. Thank you for that.

Yes, the original indicator only does a basic task of drawing a rectangle around the specified time-window and draws a Fibo that marks a few levels. You and I could easily write something from scratch, but with my adaptations, I didn't remove any of the original functionality (such as custom labels on each Fibo line).

The main improvement I achieved -- and show by my code example -- was in performance, cutting CPU use by over 95%. (Running only once-per-second vs. per-tick and using 'limit' to avoid recalculating ALL previous boxes and fibos, uses significantly less CPU). At ~0.5 to 4ms per tick (depending on TF), the original was not an extreme high-CPU indicator, but during news events with high tick volume, such inefficient indicators can bring MT4 to a crawl.

Adding an On/Off button is not hard but does add several lines and nuances throughout the code.
I added a lot of user control over how colors are handled, and how the Fibo text is displayed. There is flexibility for those who want it.


You are generous with your contributions, which are appreciated by all. I would welcome more examples of your .mq4 source as often as you are willing to share.

There's are a ton of them out there, but no really simple one like you want.

Try this simple search on google - mt4 simple trading panel - and see if you can use one of them out there.

Dear coders, any takers on this indicator? What this indicator could do is helping the trader to differentiate different timeframe (eg: M15, H1, H4) so you will have a clearer picture from the candlestick patterns what has happened during each timeframe.

This is super duper EA multifinctional trade manager,i wnated to avoid adding the lot size etc,i will see if someone can create a single line menu with 4 functions only.
a graph could be coded to appear in main chart window or separate chart window.

With this one I have to attach to the main window then re-compile with option on then off then it appear in main chart window. I have to repeat the procedure next time when I want to attach it to a new chart in main windows. If I use the ex4 it always appears in the sub-windows

Could you pls help me find out the fault why that behaves like that.

Hi can any one code me a simple EA that will send email whenever any trade is open for any pair.

Reason ( I have a EA that trade really well on pairs but now its not working later I tested it on Crypto it perform good but If I use it for crypto exchange then the results might be better then the metatrader crypto trading because of spot trading )

So When my EA open trade on any crypto pair the newly coded EA simply send me Email alert so i can reopen it on my crypto exchange I will use this ea on seperate chart just for sending email purpose.

Thanks in advance (I tried to find but fail) Please help.
