Am I the only one who actually built a custom homegrown swing trading algorithm from scratch? I see people in this section downloading systems on the internet and shit...like yall are really putting your money behind something you find online? lmao

No, I build about 45 Algo’s with a team of Traders aligned to a prop firm.
Most of them sucked, 3 are ok but they sit in my top self gathering dust.
Wasn’t worth the effort as I can make more in one night trading Futures than those stupid rigid EA’s could make in months.

Now, if you have a special EA and it’s making you some really nice profits, than I congratulate you
Ifs the toughest job in trading in developing good Algo’s.

I am using only scalping and make profit in small amount but at the end of the day it's still profitable i am really attracted to swing trading but I don't understand how people are doing this. If you have any good tricks to trad in swing you should share it .

No, my Algo developments were on the Forex markets only.
I thought it was possible to make good money while I slept by letting a EA trade for me, but the results didn't justify the risk of a black swan event occurring while I wasn't watching. In fact the Asia Flash Clash lost me $35K while I was eating my breakfast one morning so my dream ended their.

On Futures, I trade the E Mini S&P (mostly) / NQ / Gold where I follow momentum runs on these Markets while reading the depth of market for imbalance.
Daily profit target is about 5% increase in equity per day (not compounded as I withdraw) which I get 3 days out of 5, 1 days a loser.

I still trade Forex using Bankers levels without any fuckin TA - BWilliams made me dust off my oldest strategy and give it a run to clean out all the cobwebbs .
As its up 2.2% in increase equity in only 3 hours today, I am thinking about kissing BW as a thank you for rekindling my Bankers level strategy.
Don't think he would appreciate that however lol

Ive seen enough in 3 days here to know all i need to know, I called out numerous bad calls made by bad traders like yourself, and most people chose to get salty instead of sending me a message like grown adults so we can discuss trading ideas. I mean, thats not on me bro bro, if u wanna be bad at trading, I wont hold you lmaooooooo

Most people in the general population do not code. If ff is roughly similar to the general population then most people here do not code, it is similar to most other forums. People generally try to make their own strategies from what they see and discern, and finding stuff around the internet is part of this. Demo accounts exist so no real money is usually put on something found. Some start coding themselves, others ask or hire.

If that's not rhetorical, then no, many others have, it's a small portion of a very big population, you're not the first or only one to do so. I recall there is an ea & autotrading subforum on mql5 you may be better suited to spend time in.

I just went through your post about your analysis, it's like when someone is trying to protect you from loses then people are not ready to listen and they will do what they are suppose to and end up losing and also many time blow the account.

By risking very small amount own money can trade investors money. Here in this example trading 20mil capital about 30% yearly profits what is 6mil and from that 15% get trader. About 75k in month in profits here. And own money might be starting from 1k usd here.. so you risk 1k usd in order to earn 75k every month.

This is not my account. Just example of what is possible with automated trading.

Automated trading max can provide 40% to 50% yearly without compounding in relatively "safe" way.

You cant expect to earn 5% daily automated without risking ruin account.

If you say earning 3 days 5%, 1day lose (suppose 5%?) and 1 day zero then on average it is 2% daily.

With 2% daily and compounding you can start with 1000 usd and in 2 years get this:
