I’ve been doing quite well with the US Mexican currency pair. I finally got onto the leaderboard in the top 100 just trading USD Mexican currency I highly recommend it.

Basically, I am a counter trend trader, so I wait for the tops and bottoms of a trend. I don’t like to be in a trade for more than a day, but sometimes it carries out to a few days, but most the time I’m in and out.

Jus mindin’ my own bisness…
Whiles I be waitin’ for my countertrades to kick in, I thoughts to meself, “since we’re in a downward trend why not put in a few short positions.”
So that’s what I done dood.
I have three baby accounts all over 10k but under 100k. I have a couple accounts under 10k I call my “Thumbsuckers” accounts.
I traded two of them.
A few hours later…
Baby account 1 $296.11
Baby account 2 $324.62
Total $620.73
Saaweet
Still waiting for the counter trend positions to kick in.

I don’t make big money but I am consistent.

I looked at the MXN, but i also looked at different brokers and it seems the spread is huge!
How do you deal with the large spreads? is it true you are 100 pip minus from start?

Only worth $0.55 per lot. -100 pips = $55 USD.

spread is nothing its the swap i look at large positive swap trades are a bonus , spread well every pair we have to deal with before a trade ,there is a secret with mxn and i trade it a lot just about every day

March ‘23 has been by far my best month of all time. I’ve lost so much over the years that bottom looked like up. Then my recovery has been so slow l wasn’t sure if continuing was worth it. But kept at it. This last year growth finally got established. The hope is that I will be financially independent by the end of the year. That’s the goal anyway.

The spreads average about 3 pips which is about average for the majors.

am i led into the retail client squeeze?
i find it more entertaining trading crosses.

But it's 5 decimal, so only 4.1 real pips

And it's Monday morning opening for the week, no Europe session, no USA session, no bank traders

What else would you expect? IC Markets - would you even try to trade that?

I,m just a beginner.
Why? Cause i work night shifts and am sleeping when the real movements begin. So i sacrifice the spread for my sleep.
But these brokers call it ”the average spread” so i assumed that’s the spread to expect during the day. I havent traded mxn yet.

i find the spread around around open can be has much 3000 but after 10am aussie time it get to 450 = 600 and after 5pm i do not play it , nightshift is horrible but we have to do what we have to do kindest regards

its about the cash not the spread if you worrie about the spread dont trade it , its the net gain at the end of the trade >>>>>>>CASH , most traders cant get that in there head exotics are a nich market some cant trade them because about the spread is in there head not the cash at the end of the trade , its just a pair to trade , its just a chart to trade its that simple
