EURUSD 1M

short off resistance targeting ema20, closed manually just before it reached it

here's the context showing the resistance i was using, not just pot luck!

it also shows how much i left behind due to fear of being too greedy as i was in my last trade. mindset is crucial for maximum profits...

Free trades are very powerful IMO. If structure and range is clear then leave the SL alone but otherwise just take it to less than 1R and leave it at breakeven.

Also why it's key to develop your own view. Because if you follow others then when shit hits the fan, you got nothing to lean on. Use other's theory but ALWAYS develop your own view. Losses are just feedback for the evolutionally process needed to succeed in this game. Therefore can be viewed as stepping stones to success. Perspective creates reality and how you frame things is a choice!

ye, tight ranges are always tricky, i got tricked out yesterday in one - glad to hear it was only a small loss...

long off support targeting a break of ema200, first attempt stopped out at BE, second attempt, locked in small profit, targeting previous high

notice how ema20 arrived just in time to provide extra support to ema200 and protect my SL...

Now I see how you enter. But at what point what would you close all those longs?

I honestly think if you just waited for a clear reversal pattern, your returns would be better. If you just focus on QM/H&S reversals and look for failures as well it may lead to a better return for you.

Yeah looks like it's breaking structure and going lower. HTF structure was clear on that trade.

Chart attached. Position at pretty much breakeven. It's pips away from TP so I usually put to Breakeven at that stage.

not for entries, i'll use higher timeframes when looking for an exit if i'm stuck in a drawdown as i was yesterday

for example, would you take this triple top entry purely based on what you see here as it formed and nothing else and what would you target if you did? if you go back and look at 1M chart tops and bottoms then you won't stop seeing them!

likewise with all other PA signals, pin bars, engulfments, you name it - i hope that makes it a bit clearer on how i enter trades, the best way to describe it is discretionary

yes, entries are purely based on what i see in front of me on the 1M chart - i'll only close cost averaged positions as soon as they are as close to a small loss\breakeven\small profit stage at the earliest opportunity

i believe you are right, but i do not have the patience, instead, if i'm in a trade and a clear sign appears, i will attempt to maximise my profits using that reversal signal

really appreciate the feedback, good bad and ugly, so please feel free to keep it coming, i have very thick skin...

AUDUSD 1M

can't remember why i entered or what i was targeting! deep drawdown very quickly, no appetite for risk yesterday, so just let it run, lucky i was watching it, it just fell shy of targets and i closed manually - in a small profit by the way - just before calling it a day, had i left it i'd still be in deep drawdown now, managing these situations successfully requires much planning and practice and persistence and patience

AUDCAD H4 was too late to Buy per BuyStop or MarketOrder
therefore I did try with a BuyLimit,
but Price runs away....
I removed this Order
