DislikedDexter and Mdjq8792: Both of you are handling draw down way better than I can so a few questions: What is your risk %? How many contracts traded per position? What is your initial SL? What is your running draw down in points and %? What is your maximum draw down to exit/close a trade? What is the value in $ of a point on the Euro with your broker? Mine is $1.25 per point. Please mark up on your past and future charts Globex Open at 5:30am NY time. Thank youIgnored
Before today I was trading the lowest possible lot size my broker offers (0.01). Today I risked 0.5% of my capital per trade.
How many contracts traded per position?
That depends on the size of my stop loss.
What is your initial SL?
I set the stop loss order above the last high/lower high or below the last low/higher low.
What is your running draw down in points and %?
I rarely let price hit my SL and usually cut my losses beforehand. The SL is a sefety net in the event of an impulsive move.
What is your maximum draw down to exit/close a trade?
I set the rule to never risk more than 0.5% of my capital in a single trade or loose more than 2%/day since trading the M1 usually gives plenty of opportunities.
What is the value in $ of a point on the Euro with your broker?
Not sure what you mean by point but here are the values in $ per pip depending on the lot size:
Micro Lot (0.01) = $ 0.1 per pip
Mini Lot (0.1) = $ 1 per pip
Lot (1) = $ 10 per pip
Even if you didn' ask about it here are the commission my broker charges:
Micro Lot (0.01) = $ 0.07
Mini Lot (0.1) = $ 0.7
Lot (1) = $ 7
I'll mark the Globex open in the future and am already curious to see what patterns I can find.
Greetings
