This is a 200 ema. You can use the same system on a custom time frame. If you want more trades find a timeframe that suites you. the 20 sma on any timeframe often is where pa will meet for a retrace. A oscillator may filter some bad entries. 4h. Trend trading only. You need to have support/resistance set up on higher time frames. You dont want to trade against s/r. The current low area is a dynamic (MA 200ema day) support area,

Yellow line is 80 pips from the 20sma. These should be self adjusted ATR. The can be use as tp. Notice pa returns to the 20 sma white line. The white line atm at 1.0609. That would be inline with the R at 1.0610. The algo at 1.0612/13

RSI setup.. But you can chose different ma.. To short RSI 20sma below the 50% mark. 200ema below the 50% mark. Price drops from above 20sma high to close below 20 sma low. That filters some. It helps increase odds of trend. But supports should be known for tp, or not taking trades. The tp compared to s/l in in this case 80 pips, sl about 40.. 2-1 reward. The upper yellow line using candle rejection. May offer some trades since the RSI was bearish. The s/l there would be smaller. tp larger.
A day position trader may want to use 80+ s/l. But can add trades on the way up below the 80 pips.

Its just a trend set up. But it will alos show a ranging market. The RSI will show pa ma +- 50% when ranging. Ma spreading wider on either side of 50% is the stronger trend

On different time frames the yellow 80 pip line needs adjustment ..I set the 5min yellow at 10 pips here. The RCI shows the range. The day closed bear.

If you find better settings. Let me know. Hopefully this can make you some $. By taking some emotion out of trading. A reason to trade with a entry. A reason to tp. A reason to take a s/l. This is more for 5m scalping. The larger time frames for positions. PA is testing a larger support. The 5 min flat mostly. Against the 200 day dynamic channel

PA returns to 20sma most often. This will rise a little next week,, atm 1.0473. The rsi 200 is below the 50%. Week wise 700 pips may seem like a bunch.. But its no different than 80 pips on the 4h, or 10 pips on a 5 min. Last year you can see the lower line. pa stayed about 700 pips from the weekly 20 sma. Later on the rise, the same 700ish pips is the high

day yellow is about 400 pips on the way down.. On the way up bulls hit the 400 mark once. PA was unable to reach the 400 at the high. Pa is now below the day 20sma. The RCI 200ema is still bullish at 51.23. The 20 sma bearish at 43.68. On the open the week may fall some. If so it lines up with the week -50% 200ema. PA can still run back to the sma 1.0728 again. Thats inline with the algo 1.0612/slip. For agreement with the week. The 200 rsi day needs to be below 50%. The smaller ones are already. The day is up just 1%, it may open below.. Using the week as a trend. This looks like support will break. Plus pa closed a week below 1.0610,, several weeks below 1.07 and 1.0835. The year closed below 1.0835

Many were taught to use RSI oscillator for overbought/sold conditions. Its below 30. I know how your were taught. I use it my own way. That could help push it to 1.0628.1.0612/13/slip. It can stay overbought/oversold for a long time. Hundreds of pips.

I use it “a little differently” too. Daily will give you a heads up but like you said could be hundreds of pips down…so for me it would have to line up on lower tfs in conjunction with PA . I find it very hard to trade with lines all over my charts so I try to do a weekly analysis and follow the PA. I have to admit I get stuck on one side scenarios at times (I didn’t see the gorilla) and I admire that you are able to see both sides and just want to catch the run As you call it snowballing is a very intelligent approach when the trend is behaving.

People snowball and dont know it. Most often people snowball a loser, averaging losers. In the hope the trend will turn. I try to snowball with the trend winners. Its got it drawbacks too. But at least the losers are smaller.

Month looks to be rejected off the 20 sma. I included 1000 pip to yellow line . The last time it was a 16000 pip move off the white line.
The high yellow line was 1000 pips from white. That RSI setting is bearish

Does anyone know what determines the outer Bollinger bands. I know the center is the 20 sma. Is there a way to combine it, where the outer bands become ATR?
I dont know how Bollinger works admittedly. If it is atr on the outer, I guess its already built. If not, maybe its worth building. PA most often return to the 20 sma when tired (not really, the 20 sma runs to price, but they meet up, attract later). That range to reach the 20sma is about the same as the distance when crossing. Example. If the pa lows average about 10 pips below the 20 sma. When pa runs above the 20 sma, it tends to go 10 pips. Then return to the 20 sma again. If the trend is stronger to the downside, it tends to cross below. minimally 10 pips below the 20 sma. In this you have chance to catch a trending, and ranging market.

An atr indicator, that measures distance to the 20 sma. That puts the equal atr distance to the opposite side on the 20 sma. 20 sma is not in concrete, other ma like a 200 may work too. To form a dynamic channel to allow real time entries regardless of a trend or range market. Offering places to enter, or tp. Sometimes the same place. Bollinger outerbands react a lot faster than the atr I witness.

I'm placing those yellow lines manually (changing distance on different tf). It should be on a auto pilot.
