Since they never answer, and I never got a feedback from anyone or seen it in any thread, anyone who trades the news with IBFX cares to share how wide he has seen the spread on euro and cable and what's the average widen spread? And do they widen spreads on all news events or only US and UK?

Forget the spread, during any big news, my experience so far is, they shut the servers down during the spike, usually for about 30 seconds to a minute
apart from that ,the spreads arent to bad at all, and overall they are ok, not great.

During ISM yesterday almost ALL the spreads went to 10pips. Just the way it goes.

for 5 month being with em, the most "amazing" thing i ever experience is when after gbp-jpy goes 50 -100 pip up and down in less than an hour, suddenly it lost 1 digit value (gap) for a few minutes, i think it is when jpy about to increase their rate... and carry trade is shaked....

i rarely put stop order, so , spread widening is not too harmfull..

I have had no problem, but I trade longer term.
Trading the news = Running with Scissors.

Thanks for all posters feedback till now but I know there's a lot of people who use IBFX during news so they gotta have some idea at least about other than US news. I mean come'on guys. You're not gonna lose the broker. They are known to have this only edge of widening spread nothing more. They don't care about identifying news traders.

which lot size is availeble 10.000 only or 20.000 , 30.000 ...

Interbank has server problems even without the news.

Its better now that it was a couple of months ago.

Before they beefed it up, it would sometimes take 2 or 3 minutes before it would accept an order and it happened most of the time.

It still happens sometimes, but not like it used to.

Interbankfx has variable spread, has they stated on their website, usually they wide 8/10 pips on USD news , it depends on volatility.

Anyway, I use them for other operativity and all is fine.
I've another MT4 broker with fixed spread for news trading.

Mate,

the lot sizes are simply 10K for the mini and 100K for the standard. You can trade multiple lots in both to make your trade size any denomination up to 0.1 of the lot you're trading.

Thus, if you trade 2.4 mini lots, you're trading 24,000 in currency. If you trade 2.4 standard lots, you're trading 240,000 in currency. Make sense?

Mind sharing who the broker is that offers a fixed spread during news trading?

FWIW I have an account with Interbank, and have no complaints. I also use Oanda and have been very happy with them.

I've seen them increase the Spread to 18 Pips on the Cable.
On average they would increase it to any where between 12 and 16 pips for the cable.

i use oanda and the spread go to 40 pips somtimes during the news, but i don't have any idia about the interbank.
....

I got this thing yesterday,keep giving me requote. I hate that.
The spread was 25pips for G/U 1 minutes before news!

I;m supposed to log onto the new MT4 mini account -2 server but the option isn't even there on the login screen. Always worries me with lots of open positions. let's hope it's all sorted when they start-up tonight.

The new servers are up and running. As of the time of this post the drop-down selection is not available on all accounts for the 'InterbankFX-MT4 Mini Accounts 2' You can manually enter the following address which works fine.
