Profitable Renko strategy that needs to be turned into an EA

Ok make sense....
First thing to do is to download the assets history then enable e.a., select the bar size you want to test, time frame you want the e.a. to convert the rest is straightforward. However please note it has to be open market conditions, not sure if its ticks or what is needed.

It would be good to know if it is the better version meaning as you have explained and if not how to get it that way.

I have done so many tests with it and would love to know...

My point wasn't to say renko can't work ... I was just pointing out that building a strategy based on historical renko isn't accurate compared to real-time ...

All fine if you find a method working fine in real-time, then you are good.

It's a bit like building a strategy on the ZigZag indicator looking back on chart. What you see back isn't what it was in real-time. That's my point.

That was a while now, but what I can remember is that the bot didn't operate like the backtest , when I attempted to do forward testing. So maybe ovo version of backtesting tool may work better, I have not gotten it to work, but that's just me, you may find success.

Just reviving an old topic for clarification :

If you renko indi only takes into consideration High/Low of hourly, for example, it will uniformise the renko chart and it will look very nice on reload.

If your renko indi takes tick data/1 min high lows you have 2 probabilities :

1. for tick data there is ABSOLUTELY no repaint.
2. for 1 min high lows you will have repaints for the candles that have very high volume/swings.

Most platforms that have native renko build it based on tick data (cTrader) and it will NEVER repaint. In MT4 if you are using continuous streams then you won't even have repainting in whichever timeframe you're in. You just need to have continuous stream of input data instead of High/Low of candle vs HL of previous candle.
