Typically, there should not be liquidity issues when trading 1 lot of a major currency pair. Your rambling response is totally irrelevant. Tinkering with a hundred dollar or even an over leveraged thousand dollar account isn't trading. There's a connection between an account size and bonafied ability.

Like you, I only trade EU, the reasons are off topic...

I don't know for you but I have been losing since the beginning of my trading career and I'm firmly convinced that I have finally seen the light, I just have to prove it now to myself, with facts, not with talks, it's only 3 months I'm profitable and my explorer is public and my trades commented.

So we are two completely different traders, you seem finding the (same) market difficult now while at the same time I finally see it easy and even boring at times.

That alone should be interesting enough for you.

I don't pretend anything, like you, I know that there are a lot of people that don't know yet about what they are talking, I try not being one of them, just giving you my observation.

but this will be only for M1-M5-M15 timeframes? you are trading very fast, scalping. does your set ups work for higher timeframes?

Yes-- I trade strictly intraday but, you can still look at daily highs and lows and weekly highs and lows for example.

When GU is making unexpected rallies it's usually to take out stops above or below Weekly or Daily swing highs and lows.

Again, are you speaking from a rational, honest and realistic perspective. "Years of losing" I glanced at your forexfactory explorer and I believe it, your numbers turned sharply this past week.

So this is the part about being honest and rational to yourself - can you attribute it to something concrete that you can reproduce every day? - or - is it an emotional high that you're on after decimating your account for so long.

Answer these things to yourself and not to me. It's the part of being honest to yourself rather than succumbing to a delusional high. I see a ton of weird shitt on this website so you need to ask yourself are you any different from these people.

This is a performance activity day in day out and you guys don't seem to get that.

I can tell you, it's very concrete and very clear for me, there is nothing emotional neither in my state of mind nor in my trading.

It's true that I have been decimating my account for a long time, in fact for ever, and yes, it was emotional at the beginning but then it became normal so I just tried to not put too much money in it while I was losing because somehow I knew that anyhow I was going to lose it all again but I just continued trying anything that came to my mind while at the same time I was some times spending all my time just watching at a chart, listening to music and waiting for him to talk to me until it finally did it.

I already went through all those things you talk about, being loser for a while doesn't mean being naïve or dishonest and more than that, I'm beyond the age of losing my time with that.

Now, this has more to do with the subject of your thread, having found my way of trading, I should produce and I expect good results in the future if I execute well and I know how to, but I also know that there will be periods where I will do not so well and only because of a "difficult trading environment", the difference this time is that I know it, I have accepted it, even embraced it because you can't avoid it and there is no system out there that just works all the time, I don't believe it.

So the question is, if you have a system, and you are good with it but suddenly the market becomes difficult, you are capable of recognizing it and that's a good point, if you trust your system enough, why just not continue doing what you do but with a reduced risk ? Did you expect your system to fire on all cylinders all that time ?

Finally, for me, it's not a performance activity, it's finding or elaborating a system good enough so you can trust it and trade according to its rules whatever the markets looks like and accepting any outcome without questioning everything again. If all conditions are met the performance will follow. That's my belief.

The market always does a min-max, it either misses your setups with low volatility moves, or it rapidly moves to extremes where most stops will be hit.

Most traders will opt to place setups at the average of the 2; not at the extreme (FOMO being the trigger), but also not at the minimum (not wanting to lose).

Ironically trading at the average will net you the worst outcome, you miss a bunch of the trades and the trades that will happen result in direct SL hits.

Choose one of the two, either the minimum and accept the losses, or only trade extremes and accept FOMO.

Even on this very thread the same responses and charts that have all been regurgitated thousands times over on this website are present. It's a predictable pattern and it's no wonder why your brokers stay in business. It literally is what keeps this website a float.

THIS is why you guys need to really make sure you're in touch with the reality.

It's harsh and I don't have any reserves telling it this way. I don't mean to single anyone out, but I don't believe in holding back when there's so much ass patting and bullshitt here. I'm speaking to anyone reading this as the odds are high it applies to them.

Maybe you guys just want to have a little fun in your lives. I don't think that's why most of you put yourselves through these vicious cycles of live losses repeatedly, especially the younger people.

I shouldn't say this, but there are people pulling money out of the market each day - real good money - in very good fashion, meaning not some stupid strategy where you can't even make a withdrawal cause your so upside down on other positions. Literally five figures a week and those people avoid this fx ghetto.

So ask YOURSELF...what makes you different from the forexfactory people.

One Chart is from 2006 the other from 2022, showing same pair. Nothing has changed. Trading always was and will be difficult!

We always talk about an edge but a working system should consist of multiple edges, be it within TA, entry- or trade management to name a few.
