Swede I had a similar problem with the Dax a while ago, at one stage it was really hurting but in the past I have always managed to stay with it and get out smiling, but this time it just would not bounce enough, so admitted defeat and bailed out on a 50% pullback Yes it did damage money wise, but to my confidence more so So to be fair seeing your honest posts I applaud you for pulling it , although annoying price action afterwards , you were left with a clear head to trade again when you felt the time was right, I ended stuck for a number of days...

There are some really good traders in FF, but the ones that are followed most, seldom show the true story, they always seem to enter at the very best level, seldom showing their stops and suddenly another chart posted showing huge returns in the opposite direction, no mention of the huge loss on the initial entry. No wonder they go silent when we have a day like yesterday..

Bilia1947 on one minute trading asks if those who follow his thread if they know the secret to success. A little research is Control Losses, the profits will take care of themselves if one is not too greedy, I take my hat off to him.

Real succesfful traders will tell you, stay away from chat rooms alltogeather, good advise imho.

Have a good weekend.

Totally agree Dave, I feel the same. I wonder if Parisboy sees the futility of posting to FF? I know he has logged hundreds of hours showing a method that for him works well, yet seldom a like from anyone.

Be well!

Has anyone tried the new A.I. (artificial intelligence) software called ChatGPT to write scripts on Tradingview or MT4? I'm blown away by this technology.

Let's see what we can create guys and gals...enjoy!

I've been attempting to have ChatGPT to "write a script on Tradingview to draw a circle with an inscribed square" as shown below (not drawn using ChatGPT). Although the software is self-correcting when errors are identified (copied from Tradingview and pasted in ChatGPT), my efforts have been unsuccessful thus far (I keep getting errors). I don't know if what I'm attempting to do is even possible on Tradingview. Hopefully those of you well-versed in Tradingview's Pinescript can provide assistance (I have zero knowledge about it).

Nice of you to say such things, but the truth is I’m just an ordinary guy with strengths and weaknesses like everyone else. Jeanlouie made us some tools never before available in mt4 that really work well once you understand how to use them and the principal behind them. I’m proud to have been a catalyst to make the tools available, but like all tools they are only as good as the competence of the user, and that takes time, lots of screen time as well, and so much depends on your personal risk tolerance, your personal emotional make up, your slotted time periods to trade, your broker spreads, the instrument your trading and so on and so on.

Also, the tools work well in conjunction with support and resistance concepts, they act as confirmation we are trading in the right area identified by them, by themselves they are just lines, diagonals or circles on the chart and mean very little.

So, my advise would be to follow a few people in FF, OAPdave for grid application, Parisboy for envelopes and cma,s, Pat Chiko for support resistance identification and then apply some of the Jenkins tools to your charts, you will be amazed at their accuracy.

Soon you will find if very easy to identify areas to trade, like the one below up 40 pips at the moment....

Feel free to ask questions, but do the research first, there is tons of info in this one forum alone so start there.
