MB Trading commision

I was just curious if anyone here has tried getting their commision lowered at MB trading. Someone had told me they had read something on here that said you could call them and get it lowered. I was just curious if anyone has had success with this. Let me know if you have. Thanks, D Wave.

Justin, could you confirm that EFX/MB forex Quote server goes offline at 7:00AM EST. I know about the 5:00PM and midnight shutdowns. The shutdown at 7:00 AM seems to last about a minute.

My experience with EFX and their order entry options and ECN model has been very positive.

The EFX Navigator does go offline twice a day for routine activities;

1. 5pm EST - approximately 5-10 minutes for currency rollover.
2. 12am EST - approximately 5-10 minutes for server maintenance.

These are the only scheduled down times during the day.

seeit is referring to the "quote" server which goes offline (edited: it seems for only a few seconds). I experience this, as well. It happens at 1:00 a.m. my time (7:00 a.m EST), however, so I'm normally asleep by then, but I get the message on my console saying that it went down for that time.

It's not a big deal for me, but I'm basically confirming seeit's post (not wanting him/her to go crazy thinking it's only happening to them, lol).

Here's a copy of my logs, so you can see what he/she talking about (there's two places mine goes down for a few seconds each):

Again, it's the "quote" server and not the "order" server that he/she is referring to.

P.S. The 12:00 midnight server offline is the 6:00 PM time for me, so the AM times that I bolded in RED are not that offline time.

Thank you Leighsww for the confirmation, yes sometimes I feel like if I told the sky that it is blue, it would doubt,question, or deny it. Only kidding.
Yes it happens every trading morning , starting a few seconds after 7:00 am est and lasting one minute... A potential busy time to trade, hopefully Justin can explan the situation , or at least find out for his own knowledge, since he is the teaching EFX guru.

Like I said above, my experience with the ecn model is positive, verging on loving it, as my experience with using it increases it.

Happened this morning. Quote screen goes blank at a few seconds after 7.00am est and returns at exactly 701:00. every morning.....I have an atomic clock, and reflexes like a cat...

Justin , sent you the acc# and ISP. Got an email from you that said thank you. The FX board goes blank every morning at 7:00AM EST , for 1 minute. It is listed in the Alerts section of Navigator.
This was also confirmed by Leigh.
Can anyone else that uses Navigator look in there alerts for a Quote severs disconnect and reconnect , Everyday at 7:00 Am EST.

This one minute shut down seems to be a scheduled event, because it happens Everyday.
Please confirm that this is a known event .

I am on live platform, and have not seen this happen. I do not ever shutdown the platform except to restart it after the 12:00 maintenance.
