Fact is most guys repeat stupidly what they read without thinking about. 
I have done that too. But generally I stop to do it more or less quickly.
My way of reading, studying and analyzing what Gann wrote and how Gann wrote it is very personal !
Let's begin with his book "How to make profit in Commodities"
When Gann writes " Time is the most important factor of all and not until sufficient time has expired does any big move start up or down."
The term " important" or "most important" has to be relativized IMHO.
In fact in above book Gann uses 526 times the word "important", whose 42 times "the most important".
As for "Time" Gann uses 1230 times the word against 1514 times the word " Price" which gives us a 45/55 % ratio
We can consider that the relationship between Time and Price is then kind of" balanced" by analyzing Gann's writings
