Hey, ftmo trader here. So I noticed the change in US30 before the email even got sent out. Essentially it got split 10 to 1. But I have a question, did this have anything to do with increasing swap fees? Cause it is ridiculous how much the swaps have jumped on US30 and US500. It's essentially 138$ per day, per lot (now 10 lots since 1 lot = 0.10) on a short and double that on a long (if someone out there is going long on a bear market your double screwed).

I get swaps are part of the game, the FX market has changed A LOT. A few years ago it use to be one side gave you positive swap, one side negative swap. Now with the rush to zero fees on most pairs no matter which direction you're going its always negative swap. But the swap on some of the commodities are feeling steep and I'm wondering whats going on with that.

Everything else is great. This last profit split (I was third and 4th on leader board (multiple accts here), you guys issued new accounts and paid out all within 24 hours. Amazing.

it’s been a while since the last update and I’m happy to be back to share some news. I hope everyone’s doing well, let’s get right into it.

Due to scheduled maintenance on Saturday, 15 October 2022, trading will be disabled on all platforms from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Kindly manage your trades accordingly.

Also, due to Daylight Saving Time ending on the last Sunday of October in Europe, namely Sunday, 30 October, and on the first Sunday in November in North America, namely Sunday, 6 November, trading hours of instruments will be affected. Detailed information will be available with the next updates.

You also might have noticed that MetaTrader 4 and 5 mobile applications developed by MetaQuotes have been removed for new download from the iOS App store. Unfortunately, this decision as taken by Apple is directly linked to MetaQuotes, and FTMO has no control over the development of the case. We recommend that traders who are affected by this situation use the desktop version of these platforms, alternatively the MT4/5 webtrader.

And we’re finishing this part with very fresh news, but sadly, not really positive ones. The cTrader platform is currently unavailable for all US clients as we have received an urgent notice from Spotware, the provider of the cTrader platform, that all cTrader accounts in the US must be closed down swiftly due to compliance reasons.
All the US clients with currently active cTrader accounts will be migrated to MetaTrader4 or MetaTrader5, depending on their preference. All the clients affected by this decision have been informed via email with further details.

Hi Brixton, I’ve checked our trading updates page from the 15th of September (here) and as you can see, we have clearly stated that the platforms won’t be available for around 5 hours on Saturday.
Trading updates are posted every week on Thursday, so if you trade crypto during weekends, make sure to check it regularly.

Hi KNS, I can see that you have already received a response, but still, let me confirm:
1+2) FTMO Account Swing allows you to trade during all news releases as well as hold your positions over the weekend.
3) No, we can not provide swap-free accounts just to anyone, we’ll need proof of your religion.

Hi Takisd and KarlKraus, although I understand that positive reviews from newly created accounts may rise suspicion, as I have confirmed numerous times, FTMO has nothing to do with them.
Paying for/creating/incentivizing fake reviews is one of the cheapest and most obvious tricks imaginable, we certainly don’t need to lower ourselves into engaging in such practices. I assume these reviews come from people that are relatively new to trading or simply want to let us know their experience through all possible channels.

Hi AnRan, I assume the swaps were increased by the LPs due to the recent bearish market behaviour, however, I can’t fully confirm that just yet. Swaps are often also adjusted according to the dividends, so there are multiple variables in the game. Anyway, I’ll get more details in the next week from my colleagues in the Trading department and I’ll inform you in the next update.

Tradersking I had the same thing happen to me with FTMO. Speak to support and they will walk you through the process. I got approved within 48 hours. I always chat with support as much as possible.

Hi again,
Every day, the FTMO LPs still seem to have much higher spreads from other brokers for GBPJPY - especially in the Asian session (when Japan markets are open i.e. JPY pairs)
But spreads for other pairs are not so different?
For example (MT4 snapshots taken in Asian session today) -

I'd like to make a suggestion regarding the 10 day waiting period for FTMO account. I've been looking at other firms and I've noticed that another firm requires 5 days for their evaluation and verification phases. I understand the logic and reasoning behind the required trading days for the evaluation and verification, but waiting 10 trading days (plus the days of sending information back and forth between the office, especially if those days are a weekend) is really almost 2 weeks.

Is this something that FTMO can consider when dealing with verification accounts that have met the profit requirement and that are waiting for the 10 day trading period to be complete? Being able to submit documentation in advance once the profit requirement is met for a verification account would decrease the turnaround time significantly.

Hi all, recently funded by FTMO and just wondering if it's permitted to hold accounts with other entities eg. MFF at the same time and taking all the same trades as on the FTMO account? I couldn't see anything in the contract that prohibited this

I got question for FTMO, some of my trades are 14,15 second's long, my target is usually 1-2% profit, cut of loss is 2%, since all your account's are demo based, is it possible for you to copy that trade and have same profit and stop loss in such short time frame ?

Really, does it matter? Whining about it is not going to change it. You are here to make money, I am here to make money, FTMO is also in the business to make money. As a trader you are FREE to go to any of the numerous companies out there and trade with them. FTMO has their pricing (Walmart they are not). I get paid regularly and ON TIME. Make your money and with that money build your own account, go on You Tube and make a video on how you have made it super easy using MY FX BOOK (real not demo) and build your own FTMO business. BUT in the main time don't waste everyone's time and energy on things that are NOT going to change. The problem that FTMO is currently facing, is that every other prop firm in the entire trading world is comparing themselves against FTMO, and something tells me that FTMO does not mind that. I personally would like to see them offer multiple playoff contest like College Playoffs and cap it with a Champion Game
