On the right track but this algo fundementally flawed imho having done a fair bit of work on it unless you want to lose a million to make 100 quid.... good for selling courses and EAs though.

Stick to what is shown on the thread to make money

It's good to get you thinking and I saw this years ago, it only works in specific markets and the large recovery zone is flawed when the market conditions change. It doesn't work when you factor in costs.

Moral is don't buy an EA or training course. Neither can teach patience and discipline.

i have also an eye on the "pips closed"-section versus "pips open"-section which helps me.

For example you have 100 lots bought at 1.1295
Now price is 1.1345
How many lots should I buy to get my entry price 1.1336?

Try for yourself on demo first use the smallest lots you can, then after a month of practice, you will be able to choose what lots you will be happy with...

@Waveskierrob, I have been experimenting this a bit. Can't figure out how you can place orders (buy and sell) for the same price, unless you actually just post limit orders and hope they get filled. Otherwise you always have the bid/ask spread to deal with.

Have mention this in the first couple of posts of the thread....some brokers won't allow to trade both ways, so one will just cancel out the other, with my broker there are two options "net off" or "force open" maybe your broker has something similar, failing this have two brokers ....hope this helps...

What are you showing us here then? How to guess on the coffee grounds?

Then please change the thread title like "Guesswork: hedge/average" or "My dreams if I live in wonderland and can magically hedge/average any trade with zero knowledge".

we want to learn new things here in peace and with a positive attitude, without bias.

to the point: i'll start trading with 0.01 lots because my demo account only has $100. every LONG/SHORT hedge is opened with 0.01.

it's up to you which lot size you use, that's what waveski meant.

so i hope it's all a misunderstanding;-)
