I did think pa would go to .9602/slip before a rise (earlier this week). But when it closed above, .9702 yesterday. After cpi, I had to risk it. This is playing off .9595/slip to me. .9595 is in a 22 year algo. I think it deserves respect. The last one like it bounced 1250 pips. It was much less old than 22 years. That leads me to believe 1.0349 or 1.0805 is reasonable. Now if the week dont hold .9702. I may be wrong about .9702 this time. I dont think I'm wrong about .9595/slip as a launch area. .9702 was the next higher platform this week to catch and hold it. I will not know till it happens. So far, it held day 1. Not the week yet. I think commercials are holding pa here. But another 3/4 rate raise makes it harder to run 1250 pips. 1.0349 is much easier.

Cot will be out in 1h.. Lets see what it says.

COT report is not good for Eur bulls... both hedge funds and commercials added more Eur shorts, hedge funds also closed some Eur longs this week

yeah the blue box represents that period. We got that one spike down to .9631. I was expecting .9602/slip. It missed my entry zone. Next week if it could break .9702. Then i would use .9600.2/slip as a new entry zone. But since it closed the week above .9702. I have a long bias.
The blue box shows that drop inline with COT. What we dont know is what happened to COT since. It did rise some since Wedsday despite COT being bullish, trend bullish, and bullish news. With all this pro usd info. PA closed the week above a key support, It also made a higher low. Off the .9595 22 year old algo. All the fudi info looks like the eu should fall. PA wise closing above .9702+ is institutional looking money to me. There was a big spike down during the week, it had that shaky signature. I think that was large funds in the market. This is what should be expected off that .9595 zone.

Any way I see what others do. The EU trend is down. Fundis is down, New higher USD interest rate. The last COT. I will not argue about any of this. I agree with it. The next question. Is PA doing what all this info is showing? Market maker are not going to be stuck with a bunch of underwater longs. For years plus. What they can do is close some shorts. That causes those jerky movements. Slowly but surely they can run this game to a higher levels. Before the next large drop.

about 8,400 shorts more here. Did a large amount close in the .963x area? Causing that jerky move. Closing half of those becomes 4,200 longs. It looks like a bunch of orders were in the .963x area. Not closing below .9702 to me is most often a bullish sign. I can be wrong. It never hit .9602. That's where I thought it would start.

The usdx has been in extended zones like .9595 for over a month now.
